Acqua at Peck Slip

I have to believe some writing the negative reviews here are trying to torpedo this amazing restaurant for unknown reasons... but who knows. Seems a little bizarre, because I can't believe the more negative reviews were written by people who actually ordered food from Acqua, because they seem to be describing a different place. The fact is, yes, occasionally they are slow in delivering. But this is truly, without exaggeration, some of the best Italian food you can find in Lower Manhattan. I live around the corner and order both through Seamless while also occasionally going there. It's really great food. I've had maybe one experience in which they took too long to deliver... every other time (at least 10) the food has arrived in reasonable time and it is always great. Yes, always.

I tried most pastas at Acqua and they are all excellent. My favorite is Linguine with Bottarga (Tuna Roe) or Amatriciana (Bacon, Onion and Tomatoes). This is the only Italian restaurant that I know in NYC where you can eat authentic Italian, like in Rome (my hometown). Top ingredients and freshness are always guaranteed. Pizzas are also excellent because they use flour imported from Naples and because they make their own mozzarella fresh in house every morning. Delivery is (almost) always fast. I am very happy with Acqua!

Rude people & unreliable delivery service. They just decided to cancel my order. Food is nice but not at all worth having to deal with these people.

Food is good in the restaurant, but not for ordering takeout. Terrible customer service. My food was never delivered an hour after I ordered and when I called to find out why, I was given nothing but an attitude and told it wouldn't be able to go out for another 40 minutes...

The food at the restaurant is good and they tend to take care of you when you are there. The same cannot be said from their home delivery service. In 4 out of 5 orders the food arrives ice cold when it is supposed to be hot - This is simply poor service. The worst is the restaurant does not seem to care about their home delivery and should just simply stop this service versus providing a sub-standard service to its customers and put an attitude. Shape up or you will lose me and all the recommendations that I previously had provided to friends and clients!!

Disappointed. The salad leave were old. Not fresh at all. The vongole was not what I expected. I just made a mistake. Should have ordered at other place. Overall, very overpriced vs. the quality of the food they make.
