Ajisen Ramen (Chelsea)

Here is my review on Ajisen Ramen (Chelsea) and despite what others say, I have to say that the food is not even near bland at all. 500% better quality food than most around my area and a lot of food (depending on order) for the money and quality. I''ve been ordering a lot from here in the past month and the fastest delivery I've ever had was just now (15mins), I bet they try their best. Over all, a good menu selection compared to others. I'm not that much of a sea food person so I go for the other stuff. All the stuff in the rice section are great. All the Appetizers taste really good (I'm a picky eater). Miso Ramen could be better, all the other ramen are decent. Japanese dumplings are AWESOOOMMEEE, but I wish they tossed in two or 3 three more for the price.

Their ramen really hits the spot on a rainy day but if you don't feel like being verbally assaulted by the delivery guy (in a foreign language), opt for someplace else.

The broth for the ramen is always good but due to super late delivery the noodles came very hard. :( Delivery time said 45min but it came after 2hrs and multiple phone calls to the restaurant.

Their Tender Short Rib Ramen Noodle Soup IS TO DIE FOR!! Succulent, melt in your mouth meaty goodness. Worth every sent AND it's not cost prohibitive! A testament to how consistantly good this dish is - is the fact that every weekend, when I'm far from my office, I wish I could order this from home! It's "love me food" for when you need something "rub a tummy good"... haven't even tried anything else yet because it soooo good and decadent! Will try to use my will power to try one of the other soups today! You Rock Ajisen!! Wish you delivered to the East Village! ;)

I ordered the spicy ramen today after a bit of a hiatus. Well, I'm kind of bummed. Although the pork slices were less fatty than before -- which is good -- the tenderous ribs were no longer in one piece - they were ground up into a coarse meal, including a lot of gristle - it was like eating PEBBLES. That was so disappointing! WTH? Since when did they start grinding up the meat??

Delicious ramen as ever. Delivered with the noodles separate so that they did not get soggy in transit. Full marks - every bit as good as going into the restaurant, and exactly what I needed on a rainy sick-day.

This was not just the worst ramen I have ever had, it was one of the worst meals I ever had. I got the tender ribs, however what they should really say is gooey mush. There was literally fatty, gelatinous chunks stuck to the "ribs". I say "ribs" because I am not sure it was really rib meat. The noodles also tasted off. Took two bites and threw out the dish. So disappointed and grossed out.

On a Ramen kick. Last night I ate at Chuko -- amazing. Today I had Ajisen Spicy Ramen...fishy and not very tasty. Arrived very fast and I really want it to be yummy but I wont order from here again.

The Spicy Ajisen Ramen Noodles was phenomenal. The meat and veggies were fresh and delicious, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the broth was extremely flavorful. Quite spicy, but not overwhelmingly so. I will definitely be ordering this again. The Ajisen Spicy Pork Fried Rice, however, is not nearly as good. It isn't terrible by any means, but it is quite bland and rather unremarkable. I had to add soy sauce just to give it some flavor. Not worth ordering again. But the soup was fantastic.

i love this place -perfect food for a rainy day. The Japanese fried chicken ramen is my favorite but they're all quite good. delivery is prompt too. no complaints.

The Veggie Ramen was very bland and the scallions tasted like plastic. I didn't finish the dish as I really did NOT enjoy it! Won't order again from here!
