Akane Japanese Fusion Cuisine

I know it doesn't matter to a lot of people but Akane's veggie sushis are amazing. Congrats!

Terrible. I ordered the Lunch Special that comes with sushi and a Rainbow Roll, and it was very disappointing. The Rainbow Roll was quite small and skimpy on the avocado compared to other places I have ordered from, and the tuna on both the roll and the nigiri tasted fishy and looked as if someone had already partly chewed it... totally not fresh. I was hoping to find a new go-to sushi delivery place for lunch but I'm sorry to say I will never be ordering from Akane again :(

This restaurant does not serve authentic Japanese food. I ordered Beef Udon and received udon that I could get from the corner cafe. The sushi that I ordered was hot as well, and ended up tasting pretty disgusting. The delivery person is rude. As I went to get a pen to sign the slip, he dropped my bag of food on the floor, causing some of the soup to spill out and get everything wet. I asked him why he did that and he just looked at me with an attitude. I don't think I will ever order from here again.

This is hands-down my favorite japanese restaurant to order in from (or eat at!). They have amazingly fresh fish and incredible service. If you like crab, this is the place to go for excellent snow crab. They have an appetizer that I love and have gotten many friends hooked on called the Spring Roll Appetizer. It's a delicious combination of their fluffy snow crab, cucumber, avocado, crunchies, and mango. My friends are often willing to come to my apartment (instead of me going to them) just so that we can order spring rolls (and more) from Akane. Every friend that I have introduced to Akane now only order their sushi from them! Also, they are super friendly and the order arrive quickly with everything you asked for! I also think that their prices are better than most places considering the quality and freshness of their fish. When I moved, I called them to make sure they would still deliver to my new address and was relieved to find out that they would...I really love this place!

The food was supposed to be delivered within 45 minutes and after an hour we called Akane. They said they were coming any minute, however, after an hour passed by and when we called again, they said our order was not processed.

The food is fine: by itself, I'd say four stars. Delivery-wise: I've ordered a number of times from these guys, and they have yet to deliver within the 15-30 minute time frame: the average is probably about 40 minutes.

This place is ALWAYS insanely late with delivery estimates. They estimate 15-30 minutes, but don't show up until at least an hour later. I continue to forget not to order from here.

The worst sushi I have ever ordered. I would NEVER order from here again. They sent dried out and tasteless rolls and one of the rolls was a dried out mackerel that was cooked when I ordered TUNA. Such a waste of money.

Don't order the chicken teriyaki bento box unless you like wilted soggy iceberg lettuce, dry chicken breast, and teriyaki sauce that tastes like diluted soy sauce and corn starch. I don't know about the rest of the food here, but this was the worst bento box I have ever had.
