I have been ordering from Aki for several years, same order 1-3 times a week. Roughly $30 an order. That's a minimum of $1500 per year. Food was great and reliably fast. Past few times took 45 minutes. Last time, I called after an hour and they said few more minutes, food finally arrived 1.5hours later. Uncooked fish needs to be served and eaten quickly! This delivery time is not acceptable for a sushi place. I am sad to say, they have lost my business. Oh, and the mochi ice cream changed a few months ago. It's gross. Don't buy, even if you do decide to order from here. You've been warned!

Ok, I am sincerely hoping I had an off night, although, I wouldn't risk ordering from here again to disprove myself. I NEVER write a bad review, I follow my moms advice about not saying anything if there isn't a nice thing to say. But this? Outrageous. 45 dollars wasted. My food was inedible, I threw 90 percent if it away. I ordered chef special sushi entry and a daily special squid salad. Pieces of sushi were warm as they came. Not a good warm. Fish that I tried was old - watery, chewy and simply disgusting. Isn't chef special supposed to be the freshest daily fish they have there??? Special roll of eel, avocado and shrimp tempura was good although my appetite was already ruined by horrible sushi which I threw away. The only highlight of it was monkfish liver sushi, but monkfish liver comes straight from the can, it doesn't have to be fresh, so no credit for that. Squid salad? I had better ones from the deli. Dry, tasteless and of questionable quality. It is unacceptable for a Japanese restaurant to have such bad quality fish.

Amazing sushi. They use to be super fast but now that 15-30 min suggestion is more like 45-60+++

Rolls were decent, Sushi was ok but could've been better. Took almost an hour (but I do live a fair ways away - 14 blocks and several avenues). Probably try something else next time.

Ordered food at 7:08pm, estimated arrival time 15-30 minutes. Actual delivery time?? 8:31pm. My food is cold and my mochi is melted. Actually, everything that was supposed arrive cold (salad, sushi and mochi) are quite warm, while hot food (shrimp tempura etc.) is cold as ice. I am quite perplexed by this, but I'd rather never call them again, even if this mean I will never find out what happened. NEVER AGAIN.

The sushi is good but they need to update the delivery time...it always says 15-30 minutes and the last 3 orders have been 45-90 minutes! Not ordering here again until they get it together!

Eek. A little disappointed in this meal since for some reason the place has five stars. #1 I know it is a sushi restaurant but the whole placed smelled strongly of fish (the bad smell). I almost wished it wasn't too late to cancel my pick up order when I walked in here. The rolls I had were okay. Not great but not horrible-but definitely not a five star experience.
