Alachi Masala

I placed the order, and the confirmation email came at 9:42pm. The food arrived at my apartment door at 9:57pm, and no, I don't live down the block from them. That's delicious Indian food in 15 minutes. Craziness. Well played, Alachi Masala, well played.

Usually good but tonight the food was inedible. Way too salty as if the chef dumped a pound of salt in the tika masala and the nan was half cooked. Truly awful. Maybe a new chef? Sad because this was a solid restaurant in our rotation.

Mediocre. I feel like they changed the recipe from the last time I ordered the chicken tikka masala. It reminded me of tomato soup from a can that was a little spicy, the chicken in it was dry and they included less rice than before, I need more rice. The garlic nan was good. Over all, not worth the $20 bucks for both items.

What a complete waste of money! No stars. Veg samosas were not spiced correctly-- proportion of spices in relation to one another was all off. I ordered the Chicken Makhani bc it isn't quite the staple that Tikka Masala is-- but it tasted and smelled like sweat. I tossed it after two bites. I am a huge fan of Indian food and it is something I will sometimes literally have crazy cravings for. I ordered from this place because the two other places I tried to click on weren't loading for whatever reason, and I thought, 'Okay, just give this one a try since its menu actually loaded.' Terrible. I will never order from here again.

Love this place for take-out or eat in (BYOB!) Veggie samosas are good and the chana masala is the best I've ever had. Best Indian in the UWS and highly suggested.

Delivery was a nightmare. Took 90 minutes, and the person who answered the phone lied many times about the status of our order. Food arrived cold and tasteless. Awful.

I've been ordering from these guys for a few years now. The food is consistently good, the portions are huge (easy to share a dish) and the delivery people are pleasant. I highly recommend.

We've ordered them now several times and every time we're fully impressed. The naan is good (I'm shocked to read some of these other reviews), the food is amazing.

Love this place. Definitely some of the more solid Indian food on the UWS. The prix fixe menu is great and their food is very consistent. Strongly reccomended--also a BYOB if you decide to get off the couch.
