Amber (1406 3rd Ave)

I love Amber! They package everything very nicely and the fish seems fresh. Their salad dressing is addictive.

my bad for ordering chef special on a tuesday night. most disgusting sushi i've ever had. to boot, they put spicy sauce all over whatever they want to hide the flavor of. classic trick, just expected better from amber.

Amber is one of my favorite neighborhood sushi restaurants. The fish is amazingly fresh and the quality of delivery is no different from dining in. I always bring out of town friends here and they are always blown away. The have great drinks as well!

Very good food but a bit pricy when you consider you can get most of the same things for cheaper at other good, local Japanese restaurants. At Amber, you pay for the ambiance and when ordering-in you need not worry about that

5 star for food quality (most importantly), but have ordered dozens of times and (1) they're very slow, and (2) have had quite a few fulfillment errors in terms of wrong dishes sent (and takes forever to get corrected, well past meal time). 3 stars for overall experience.

Alwaya a good one to order from, vlose to my home, menus are not strictly Japanses, and lunch specials are great.

My favorite sushi place on the UES for "normal" size rolls, e.g. not special rolls. However, don't order on seamless web. They charge you an extra $1 for rice on the outside. If you order directly on the phone, they automatically give it to you that way at no cost. Very fast delivery and extremely fresh fish, especially mid-week.

This was my all-time worst experience on Seamless Web. This restaurant is awful all around. The food was over an hour late and of course it was freezing cold. Sure, it was a freezing night in New York but the restaurant is only a few blocks from my apartment. We called the restaurant to explain our disappointment with the cold food and ultimately had to speak to four different people, none of whom apologized for the situation and only offered excuses. Ultimately the explanation was that their food always takes longer than an hour and is cold upon arrival sometimes. Great customer service all around...Once we warmed up the food, it was sub-par at best and we will never ever order from this place again. Ever...Unfortunately, I can't even rate this place 0 starts!

Very fast delivery and the sushi is fresh. A little bit pricey for the portion sizes, but you get what you pay for I guess.
