An Urban Lobster Shack

This was my first time ordering from them and will be the last. After waiting an hour for the food to be delivered, which is the normal wait time, I called Urban Lobster Shack to check on my order. I was told it would be another half an hour to 45 minutes. They did not give me a courtesy call to let me know there would be a delivery delay. I don't know how the food tastes, but customer service is key and they just lost a potential customer.

The worst ever. Lobster is all red rubbery claw meat and the sides are like whats been sitting in the deli case at the bodega for the last few weeks.

Bread was not toasted, soup was cold both probably because it took them over one and a half hours to deliver. When I called to see where the delivery was, the person that picked up the phone responded with a threat to have the delivery guy bring my food back. When I finally did bite into my food, the lobster was dry.

It's a hit and miss with this place. I stopped by the truck on the street before and the famous lobster roll was perfectly delicious. This time however, I ordered from seamless. The coleslaw had gone bad, which I discovered after the first bite. The other bad surprise was that the famous lobster roll had gone bad too. I didn't discover this though until later that night when I was positioned over the toilet chocking it back up.

delivery came 45 minutes late. we ordered two soups among other things. not a spoon, not a napkin, dressing was missing, too much pepper in all the soups. lobster roll tasty but roll was no longer toasty, it was soggy for the delay.

Food was average, but probably too pricey for the quality and what you get. I had a craving for lobster bisque and lobster roll so it hit the spot. However, I probably won't order here very often and only when I have a craving. Delivery was on-time and soup was hot. Lobster roll was on the bland side. The slaw had a kick though.

This was absolutely, hands-down the best lobster roll I've had in years! And the shrimp and lobster bisque was thick, creamy, and decadent. I had to deduct one star for totally gross, straight from an industrial bucket, manufactured coleslaw that made me gag and was immediately thrown out. But $20 for a lobster roll and a pint of bisque? That's a deal in Maine, let alone downtown NYC!

They take too long to deliver and never have the whole lobster they put on their menu. This will be the fourth time I have attempted to order a whole lobster only for them to call and let me know that they do not have it and will substitute with two lobster tails.. Two lobster tails are far from the value of one whole lobster...

Sometimes the lobster roll smells a little "fishy," but it's not terrible. Overpriced, for sure, though.

BEWARE! they took my order which i've paid for but never delivered. waited for an hour and realized that they decided to close for the day. extremely unprofessional and the rolls aren't even that great. would've preferred Luke's but they're no longer around down here.

Make sure to call after you place your order. Sometimes they confirm the order but forget to deliver it!
