Angelico Pizzeria (Mt. Pleasant)

I haven't yet braved the pizza but the sandwiches alone are worth it. The meatball, Angelico, and steak are all tasty and filling. Throw in the bag of chips they give you and you have a hot, tasty meal. The mozzarella sticks aren't terrible...provided you put them in your own oven for about 10 minutes as they are perpetually undercooked.

I like the pizza for what it is--lazy-night delivery pies that are a significant step up from chains. The toppings are pretty good quality. HOWEVER, the service is unacceptable. They said my pizza would take 35-50 minutes to deliver. I called after an hour to see what the hold up was. I got a sullen, unfriendly response that the delivery guy was on his way. He does show up fifteen minutes later; the pizza is 30 minutes late at this point, and no one ever apologized or explained why.

Extremely mediocre pizza, horrible delivery service. After paying a delivery fee plus generous tip and asking for delivery to my door, the delivery guy calls up and insists I come down to get my order. He can't even bother to get out of his car to come up to the building. Won't be ordering from this place again.

Great food, horrible service, hence the 3 stars instead of 5. I do not order delivery to have a lazy delivery guy call and make me come down to him to get my food, when I've already given him a generous online tip, especially when I know there is someone downstairs to let him into my apartment building. I order delivery to have food delivered to my door. This has happened multiple times, at multiple apartment locations. Going forward all of my online orders will have a $0 tip, and the driver will get a tip when they deliver the food to my door.

If you want a ton of Hummus this is the place to order from! They are speedy and get the food is decent. Not the best calzone I have had but decent for the price.

The pizzas were just what we needed--fresh and not too greasy. And the delivery was fast too. Our group was partial to the veggie-themed pizzas.

Best delivery pizza in DC, bar none. The pasta is not quite up to the same standard, and delivery has been both slow and surly in the past (tho mostly from the same driver, whom I haven't seen in a while), but the quality of the pizza gets it 4 stars regardless.

It took an hour to finally get and pizza arrived luke warm. It was tasty when I heated it back up but I didn't pay to cook my own food.

The calzones are WONDERFUL! Everything else I've had is good, but not spectacular. I really like the calzones and one usually lasts me 2-3 meals.

The pizza is hit or miss, but the salads and sandwiches are absolutely delicious! Best meatball sandwich in DC! Also, this is one of the only places thoughtful enough to wrap freshly grilled chicken in foil, so the heat won't ruin your salad.
