Angelo's Pizzeria (57th)

The best pizza that I have had in Manhattan. You can order from any of the locations, the food tastes the same, and excellent at that. I'm no connoisseur of the deep dish, New York style, etc...all I know is that Angelo's is cooked fresh in an oven, not greasy, and the pepperoni is highly recommended. The Caesar salad with grilled chicken is also excellent, but I'd pass on the tiramisu. Load up on the good stuff, the pizza and salad...and be sure to get a large, if there are any leftovers, it tastes just as good reheated the next day.

I have to say Angelo's makes the best salad dressing, doesn't matter if it's plain salad. Our office love your food!!!

Thanks to a brick oven, Angelo's has consistently good pizza for midtown. However, for some reason they insist on charging 3-4 times the going rate for a calzone (a calzone with sausage and onions goes for $21). I would be willing to pay double the normal amount for a good brick oven calzone, but this is just ridiculous.

We were staying near by, and ordered pizza and salad. The beet salad was good. The pizzas were fairly good and delivery was quick. Next day, we tried to eat in the restaurant with children and baby asleep in stroller. There were 4 tables free, one was perfect for us as it had plenty of space right next it for the stroller. We explained what we needed and asked if we could sit there. The answer was "No". No explanation. No attempt to offer us another table. Nothing. They were rude and did not want our business. So we left and won't be ordering from them again.

Hands down my favorite pizza in NYC. Very thin, very fresh, best sauce anywhere. Only problem is you have to order far in advance if you want a lunchtime delivery because they seem to get backed up with midtown office orders. Worth the wait!

Awesome pizza and super fast! The only complaint I have was it was too salty with the grated cheese, but I'll just take that topping off next time.
