Anima Italian Bistro

The pizza is normally really good but today it arrived stone cold. The delivery guy also forgot my side order of grilled vegetables, which I understand, it happens, but the pizza should at least be warm when it arrives.

I am currently sitting here, waiting for my order. It's been 2 hours since I placed the order via Seamless, and 90 minutes since I received my confirmation that the order was received. I just called the restaurant and was told that the delivery guy IS coming...eventually...but that he has 6 other deliveries. They couldn't even offer me any sort of explanation or better time estimate. It's such a shame because the food really is that good but the delivery is completely unacceptable. I don't think I will ever be getting delivery from them again. Side note: I ordered on a Wednesday at 12:18pm. It's now 2:05pm. If they have such trouble during a random mid-week day, I'd absolutely HATE to see them on a Friday or Saturday evening.

it's been over 90 minutes and food still is not here. this place is a joke. the worst delivery service in all of fort green, clinton hill and bedstuy combined. don't waste your time because it will never arrive. this is the 3rd time i have had trouble with food never coming and every time they have BS excuses

One of the best italian spots in the neighborhood. deliver is kinda slow.

I was very disappointed with my experience. The food took well over an hour to arrive and when I called the person on the other end didn't even offer an apology. I ordered a pasta dish, which was cold by the time it showed up, and bland as well. The spinach salad came without the dried cranberries and with just one small sliver of goat cheese -- very bland as well. Only the antipasto was passable. I won't be ordering from Anima or dining there in the future.

Anima recently changed their menu and took all the good items off. The quality of the food has also dwindled.

I'm not rating the food, merely the lack of food. It was Valentine's day, big whoop but important to the context of the story, and my girlfriend and I decided to have a quiet meal that we could have delivered to us. So we place an order with this "restaurant" and waited for over an hour for the delivery. Fed up, I called and asked what the situation was and was told, "Oh sorry, we aren't taking regular delivery orders tonight but we will be open on seamless web. It's so busy here," Duh, "and our kitchen is having a hard time fulfilling orders." Ok, I thought, not a big deal. So another hour goes by and I call the seamless web HQ to find out what's going on. The wonderful representative called Anima and was given the same run around about not fulfilling regular orders but seamless web was open, when in fact it wasn't and the rep inquired about this, wondering why they would take a customer's money, but not honor a deliveryn. Alas, I did not get food and was overtly lied to by this "restaurant" about honoring seamless web orders. I understand Valentine's day is a big day for nice restaurants, but so is having a nice, quiet and hands free meal at home. One star, only because I have to rate to be able to publish this review. Let it be known that I really wish I could give them Zero stars, because I don't know and will never seek to know what their food tastes like.

High quality pizza. Their Popeye pie is especially good, though the first time I ordered from them they didn't give the delivery guy my salad. Also, if you get salad, make sure to get dressing on the side.

Pretty amazing spot for hearty Italian food. It's a local favorite. I've tried a lot on the menu. Their pesto is incredible. Much less heavy on the basil than your traditional pesto. I also really enjoy their pappardelle which they cook pretty al dente with some pretty good meatballs on top. Everything here is pretty much great, so don't worry about what you choose.

I wasn't really impressed with this place. The food took a long time to get to my apt, it was cold, and the bread was soggy. The pasta wasn't cooked all the way, and the flavors didn't wow me either.
