Arte Cafe

I really like the food at Arte Cafe. I used to order from them once a week and then I finally realized it was just too much of a bother. Like the other reviewers their biggest problem is they take 75 mins minimum to deliver meals. I live 2 blocks away so I call and want to go pick up my order, it still takes 60 mins to get a rare piece of salmon seared for less than 10 mins. I made a mistake and ordered pizza a couple of times with a pasta or an order of salmon. Bad idea. The pizza is ready way before the fish. They get delivered at the same time and the pizza is like a piece of cardboard with cheese. So in summary. Good fish. Good pasta. Horrible delivery logistics. Not very good management.

Unfortunately, I have not had the best experience with Arte Cafe. And I have given them numerous chances because so many friends seem to enjoy it. Today, they called 25 minutes after I placed my order to tell me they could not complete the order. I now have to go to work without that meal. Last week, I ordered brunch, and it came TWO HOURS later. I had called to cancel it after an hour and a half had passed, and made my own breakfast. By the time it came ANYWAY, I had forgotten I had even ordered it... And the chicken parmigiana was glowing raw inside.

Arte is one of the finer Italian options on the UWS - Homemade pastas (cooked properly), fresh quality ingredients, healthy proportion sizes. All my deliveries have been timely and they consistently stock the orders with bread, oil, parmesan, napkins, etc. The Fettuccine Boscaiola is one of my favorite seamless orders. All of their pizzas are quality as well. It is a pit pricey but definitely worth it.

Seriously??? I just ordered the beet salad which I've ordered several times before. There are 3 tomatoes, 2 beets and 2 onions in a salad that used to have 3 TIMES as much. And the price is the same $9.00. I will NEVER order from Arte again. Clearly they have little respect for existing customers if portion size has decreased this much. Shame on you!

Spinach and goat cheese omelette is good but was completely cold because the delivery took a while. Bacon is fantastic.

After reading other reviews I was nervous about the delivery time, but I know the restaurant and decided to go for it. I placed my order at 7.44pm and it was at my door by 8.05. I live 9 blocks from it. The chicken Parm as always was great, the spinach too. my only complaint was the meatballs, the sauce was really good but the meat balls themselves were so so. However I would order again.

I ordered from here specifically because it said 25-40 minutes, and I was hungry--after an hour, I called, and was informed that my food was on its way. After another thirty minutes, I called again and was told that they had no idea what had happened with my order. Would never order from here again.

The food was good but they didnt send half the order. Needless to say our group of people didnt get to eat lunch together since we had to wait for the rest of the order to arrive. Sorry but thats bad business. Wont be eating here again!

Simple order: 1 pizza. Took 1 hour on a Tuesday at 8:30 (far from peak hours, and I live less than 10 blocks away..not cross-town blocks either) Food was cold, i now have to preheat oven and wait another 30 minutes to eat Food was UNBELIEVABLY over priced for the size of the pizza, i was shocked that I paid $17.00 for a tiny thin crust pizza Nothing special about this. its mushrooms on a plain pizza. Delivery guy was an impatient ass, also he dropped trash outside my apt door, noticed that he dropped it, and left. Never ordering from here again - there are a million other places that sell identical food and will do it with a) better service (speed and quality) and b) lower prices. I'd call and ask for a refund but I dont want to interact with this place again

Super high quality food -- not "delivery quality" stuff ... omelets are fluffy, tasty and well-made. Can't go wrong!
