Aru Sushi

I have to give this one star. It's no longer the same restaurant, it is now something called Aru Sushi. Their sushi used to be fresh and large pieces. Now you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference in quality between them and Go Sushi. I'll never order from them again and everyone should be aware that they didn't only change their name, they cut quality substantially.

Beyond Terrible. The delivery man got lost and started calling my phone talking jibberish. He had other people call me... random strangers on the street and tell me to come down and get my sushi even though he was nowhere near my apartment building. WTF??? I came down to the lobby walked outside, went back inside, he's still calling, still saying he's in my lobby talking to my doorman when I am in my lobby and the doorman says that no delivery guy has been there.... and unless he's invisible he was pretty obviously not there. I call the restaurant to cancel my order and they put me on hold. In the meantime, the guy shows up . I realize it has been 1 hour and 12 minutes. The food is AWFUL. Mealy, cold, dry rice on the sushi. The fish... even the shrimp tasted funky. The 'salad' was made of shredded lettuce similar to the sort you would find in a Subway Sandwich shop with a single slice of cucumber on top and neon orange slop that is supposed to be ginger dressing. It was wilted and gross... soggy lettuce strips and an overly sweetened neon goo... disgusting. I have had better Sushi from the little deli salad bars near Port Authority. There was NOTHING redeeming about this meal. The fact that I paid money for crusty, refrigerated-tasting-worse than supermarket sushi and got the extra dose of nonsense and aggravation made my first experience with seamlessweb all-around horrible. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Stay away.... they don't deserve a dime. P.S. They are now called "Aru Sushi" even though they are listed as 9th Ave Pearl on the Sushi here.

Good sushi and it arrived promptly. I wish they hadn't put my soup under the sushi, because it warmed the container the sushi was in, but otherwise, no complaints and much better than other delivery sushi I've had.

The chirashi bowl is filled with nice fat slices of sashimi and very fresh too. I also love that they deliver with some slices of oranges. Great restaurant, not skimpy. This is my go to place for sushi.

Used to be good place for our occasional sushi but quality of the fish has declined. Sushi rolls felt like they were rolled a while ago. A spicy crunchy roll was neither spicy or crunchy. We threw out half the meal and didn't eat it.
