Atomic Wings (W. 4th NY)

This review is based on Buffalo Wings (Abusive spicy level) This is my second time ordering buffalo wings from here and this time something was definitely wrong. The wings were covered in red chilli oil, which did not taste like buffalo wings....but rather it seemed like they had some left overs / unsold wings (already covered in hot sauce) and decided to re-fry them. Never seen buffalo wings dipped in red grease but no sauce. Also, you need to change your styrofoam food container which leaks the sauce, evertime I order.

I only ordered from heer because it was after 1:00 AM and not much else was open. These weren't the best wings I've had, but they were pretty good. The wings arrived hot and crispy, with a classic buffalo hot sauce (Red Hot and butter). They were pleasantly spicy at the "regular" level, unlike most places that dumb down the heat in their sauce. The wing pieces were also nice and plump with lots of meat on the bone, and a half-and-half ratio of "tip" to "drumstick". All in all, I was pleasantly surprised. They came with celery and carrots, which were fine. My only real complaint was the blue cheese, which was most definitely not blue cheese, but overly sweet ranch dressing with a mouth-feel that makes me suspect it was low-fat. Oh well, I will still order from here again when I have the late-night munchies.

The food was never delivered. I called an hour and a half after placing the order, and despite being able to barely hear the gentleman on the phone over the blaring music and party atmosphere in the background (very confused what was going on in there at 12:30am...), I was assured that my food was en route. Come 1:30am, there is still no food, I am angry and still extremely hungry, and I begrudgingly go to sleep since I have work in the morning. Where are my !@$%#@ wings?

Don't bother. Dirty chicken and you can get much better... Atomic sauce is just basic buffalo... Fries nothing special and all over priced.

They were late. When I called, they abruptly hung up on me. Food came in, cartilage posing as wings. Soggy everything. Sauce blander than anything you've ever tasted. It's your money, you deserve something hot, tasty and on time. Never again.

This seriously hit the spot. I got the mozzarella sticks and wings. Loved it all, but in the future, I'll probably only order the wings since it is such a generous portion. I've been craving wings ever since my order.

What are people's problems here? If you want top of the range wings, go to a restaurant, simple as. For delivery wings, this is the only place about to satisfy my wing craving. Even the BBQ wings are good, and I am not usually a fan. THe wings are always a decent size. The buffalo sauce is a bit too vinegary for my taste but still decent. Smothered fries are my favourite. Get that for some good comfort food. Delivery has always been good. A couple of times it has taken close to an hour, but that was during sports games, etc, so you can't fault them.

Great wings and the waffle fries - when they don't get soggy on the way - are awesome. The wings are always big and meaty and they put on lots of sauce. They also have many different spicy levels, so everyone can order to their liking.

Wonderful chicken fingers, be sure to indicate you want them "atomic" as we have had them delivered dry before... but the best in NYC.

I ordered delivery from Atomic and after an hour passed I called them to check on my order. The man working at Atomic was very rude and yelled at me, literally yelled, at me for not picking up my phone. Turns out the delivery guy was calling the wrong number and that's why my delivery didn't show up in time. If you really want good wings order from Acme. Atomic wings is mediocre at best and has the worst service I've ever experienced.
