Balade

Delivery food quality can be completely unreliable, so much so that when you are lucky.. you'll get the best shawarmas, and manakesh in the city. But if the chef had a bad day forget about it, it'd be the worst quality ever!. In person though, every dish was outstanding! potential is definitely there! C'on Balade get it together and improve the delivery service, we homers count too..

Oh man, I love Balade! Their hummus is so delicious—I've never had anything like it. It's also such a nice touch to have soft whole chickpeas on top. Yum, yum, yum. Their chicken platter is also always perfectly cooked, and includes two sides and rice! This has to be one of the best deals in town. So cheap, so delicious, so reliable. Love!

Despite the glowing reviews, Balade is one of the worst restaurants around this neighborhood. I've had more satisfaction from the street meat carts - atleast the smell covers up the quality. 1) the portions were fit for a high-end French restaurant (except is wasn't pretty and didn't taste good). 2) no cutlery provided for an order of over $200. 3) signature dishes smelled (in the words of my coworker) 'funky'. 4) not enough bread (should they be reminded that its a MIDDLE EASTERN restaurant?) My whole team was disappointed...the senior manager almost fired the associate for ordering from here. Overall TOO EXPENSIVE for the portions...not ordering from here ever again (if i want to keep my job).

I've been looking for an authentic Lebanese place near me forever. Balade is fresh, flavorful, and true to Lebanese form. I plan on going there for dinner now. Cannot wait to re-order.

Delicious fattoush is hard to come by, and Balade has it. Add grilled chicken to the salad, it's great. I've liked everything I have tried here- highly recommend.

Food came very fast, the hummus ham and cheese pizza ( manakeesh) is amazing. I highly recommend balade to all middle eastern foodies.

This is my first review after years as a compulsive daily seamlessweb user: Balade is so delicious I've actually had to stop myself from re-ordering. You can go the typical Mediterranean/Middle-eastern route with falafel, humus, etc, but to really get the goods here you should try: the Kebbeh Kras, like Lebanese alcapurrias/empanadas; the Beirut Beats, delicious flatbread with the Za'atar spice mixture that is a Lebanese staple and delicious; anything with toum, the strong garlicky sauce that Emily V raved about below. There are more dishes worth your time but these are, IMHO, some standouts for the curious but inexperienced orderer. The laban with cucumber is a great, light, savory yogurt dish as well. Great addition to the block!

This place is HORRIBLE. I ordered last night with an estimated delivery of 30-45 minutes. When it was 10 minutes late I called for an ETA and found out they: (1) had not started the order; and (2) it would not be to me for another 30-45 minutes at minimum. I cancelled the order and then at 2:00AM (over an hour and a half after I called to cancel) the delivery guy continually buzzed my door and called my phone until I answered and told him the order was cancelled. I cannot believe the lack of professionalism of this place, nor can I believe that the owner did not contact the delivery man such that I was awoken at 2AM. Definitely a poor choice.
