Been ordering here for years. Long before there was seamless web. Love the saag panir - and their Tikka Masala sauce is the best! (Another great item is not listed on seamless but hope they fix that mistake right away cause it's delicious: the Panir Tikka Masala entree - Basically cheese cubes in the tomato cream sauce. Awesome!!) - but really hope they You can even order a big container of it only - and dip whatever you want in it. Paan is delicious - and they delivered right away. AND were great on the phone as well ! Thanks Baluchi's!

I see a few horrible ratings about Baluchi's but I am one to try foreign foods and all restaurants within a 5-10 mile radius from me. Baluchis is in my neighborhood and I have ordered out plenty of times. I have never received food faster than I have with Baluchi's. Besides the fast delivery time I encountered, they have the best indian food I have ever had in manhattan and the best CUSTOMER SERVICE I have EVER received, and this includes 5 star restaurants as well, where your bill can come up to $100 alone. Baluchi's has the tastiest Chicken Tikka Masala, Naan, Lamb and Rice, however my favorite chicken dish is the Chicken Korma. It is OUT OF THIS WORLD! The pricing is fair for the serving size. You get a huge bowl filled with the most delicious jasmine rice served with peas and the size is meant for 2 people along with a large amount of your main course. The staff are all the absolute sweetest, caring people I have ever encountered with. The first time I stepped foot into Baluchi's, I thought because it was my first time, they wanted to impress me with their 1-time amazing service by providing delicious Mango-Yogurt dessert drink on the house for no apparent reason along with FREE Naan and constant offerings to bring me more rice if we ran out. The rice was more than enough like I said, but the gentleman stated "okay, well if you ever run out of rice let me know so I can serve more to your table." Not to mention, it was a long time since I had indian food and asked for his recommendations. He happily spent 10 minutes just explaining ingredient by ingredient per dish and the details of the dish to the point I already felt I have had it. I thought this man deserved a generous tip after the exquisite service and food he provided, but he turned it down!! WHO DOES THAT?! IN NYC?! I have never, EVER witnessed a sincere tip turn down!!! Now, this does not mean don't tip them, it means trick them to taking it such as paying by credit and leaving the tip in by paper, or leaving the cash on the table and running ou

Decided to try Baluchi's on a whim, and I'm glad I did! The food arrived HOT and FAST (20 minutes after I ordered). I got the prix fixe dinner and everything was delicious - excellent Lamb Saagwala, and absolutely obsessed with the ka-chori. I ordered it mild by accident, but everything I received was very spicy (that's why I took off a star, incase someone who purposely orders mild food ends up burning their mouth! haha). Also - I have at least half (if not more) left over. Two very filling Indian meals for $15?? Amazing!

I hadn't ordered from Baluchi's in a while but I thought I would give them another try. Nope. Won't do it again. It took over 45 min. for the food to arrive. The quality of the food has gone way down hill. Everything was way too salty. Very disappointing. There is much better Indian food to be had in the neighborhood.

I'm always a fan of a prix-fixe menu, which Baluchi's has. Consistently tasty food and good vegetarian selection.

Good food, but not the best Baluchi's. The chicken never tastes that great.

Baluchi's is my favorite Indian restaurant in the city, by far. Their meat is always so tender, and their sauces are flavorful and hearty. My personal favorite is the prix-fixe lunch special, which comes with a generously portioned appetizer, naan, rice, and entree.

I always find myself coming back to Baluchi's again and again because the pre-fix meal is the best deal I've found on the UES. For $14.95 you get your choice of an appetizer, entree, rice, naan, cucumber, yogurt, and mango chutney. I just hate the places that charge that much just for the entree and then make you buy the rice and naan separately on top of that- so with this deal I really feel like I'm getting the value of my money. The food is so-so, not the best Indian I've ever had, but certainly not bad by any means. They make the Chicken Tikka Masala just the way I like it (creamy with a spicy kick) and since that is basically all that I ever order, that's all I'm really concerned about. I've had friends order with me who have gotten other things from them and have been happy. Delivery is quick, even when the system says it will be 30-40 mins, they are almost always at my door within 15-20mins. Again, for the amount of food you get for that price, there's not way you can complain. I usually have enough left overs to make a whole other meal out of it. Great price, good food, fast service.

After reading some reviews and checking out what people on Yelp said, I was quite uneasy about ordering from this restaurant. However, when I called to ask about their specials, the guy was pretty much haggling me into getting food there and I figured- why not, everybody has a bad review every now and then. (He even mentioned how they don't have any roaches in their restaurant- why would he do that?!!) Little did I know that the reviews were right and that I would be 100% disappointed with the food I got. I've ordered from the Baluchi's on 53rd and figured this couldn't be too different right? Incorrect... Delivery: It took quite some time for the food to get to me, even though the guy on the phone said they would be really quick today. The food was completely messed up by the time it got to my apartment. The sauce of the chicken tikka masala was oozing out of it's container and all over the bags, the Aloo Papri was completely shaken up and also leaking out of it's container. They did not give any utensils even though I requested them. Food: I *love* indian food, but I am quite frustrated with my choice this time. Although the chicken tikka masala was good, I was unable to try the aloo papri. The yogurt in that appetizer and in the raita was all curdled up. (Like I said, I've ordered from the Baluchi's on 53rd before and I eat indian food frequently- and I know that it's not supposed to look like that. Who wants to eat yogurt and apps with yogurt- that is all solidy and curdled?!! However, the naan and rice were decent and the chicken tikka masala was average. Overall, I will not order from this restaurant again. Albeit the reviews I had read on this and Yelp, I still decided to go ahead and try it out - but I guess this just proves that people review things for a reason and if there are lots of bad reviews, they're most probably valid. I also don't write reviews. I realize how things can be messed up sometimes but to this point where there is old yogurt in my food, the delivery time was ridiculous and half o

Took an hour and a half to get my food and when it finally arrived it was cold. There are some really good Baluchi's but this is not one of them.

Coming from an Indian, Baluchi's has become my go-to place after trying a few of Punjabi places in the UES.

Can't beat the daily special with this quality of food. Been ordering from here for close to two years now and never had a bad experience. The delivery is quick and the Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Vindaloo and Butter Chicken are all awesome. Also like their naan.

Food is very good......if it actually arrives. This will be my last order from balluchi. I love indian food and they do a fine job. However, after ordering from them for years it is clear that approximately one in every three orders does not arrive for at least an hour. Tonite, after waiting an hour and a half and phoning four times, i have officially given up. Too bad. Now i have to find another indian.

Always some Disappointment here! Last night I ordered.. after along break.. having been worn out by their consistantly dispointing delievery service. Despite my best instincts I thought Id try again. I'll give them credit for one thing.. there status showed 1 HR+ for delivery! They managed to get the food here (5 blocks from me) in just over an 1 HOUR. GREAT WORK!! I did order 2 diet cokes and got 1 diet, 1 regular. They just don't care.. Just not worth dealing with this place. Too many other options in NYC.

The food is pretty good, but I won't be ordering again after having placed an order online. I placed my order, and about 15 minutes after I received the confirmation, someone called from the restaurant to ask my cross street (which was already on the order). When I gave him the cross street, he stated that there is a $20 minimum to deliver to me, and that they would "do me the favor" this time, but I should make a note of it for next time. The minimum was posted as $5. The food arrived later that indicated in the confirmation email, ice cold. I don't want any more "favors" from this place.
