Baluchi's (Greenwich St.)

If I could give Baluchi's a zero, I would. Unless a negative review feels like it is 100% deserved, or could be of help to others, I wouldn't waste time writing it. In this case: I ordered one standard entree and bread and was given a delivery estimate of 25-40 minutes. After an hour and a half, I call Baluchi's and am rushed off the phone, that my delivery would arrive "within minutes." After 30 more minutes pass, I called again, am put on hold for 10 minutes before I gave up and called back a 3rd time. They then tell me that they don't know where their delivery guy is and 'sorry.' About 15 minutes after that, the delivery guy arrives and to make matters worse the food is cold. Not warm, I actually mean cold and rained on. I understand when things go wrong.. What I don't find acceptable is the complete void of customer service when there's a disruption in your business.

The food was tasty and came very quickly. The Baluchi`s Deal is well priced for the large portions they give you. I would definitely recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala (the medium spice was perfect, not too overwhelmingly spicy). Naan bread with sauces was good too, a nice variety of flavors.

The Baluchi's Deal never disappoints. Chicken Tikka Masala or Lamb Vindaloo are ALWAYS delicious.

We've been ordering from Baluchi's on Greenwich street 2-3 times a week for months. In the fall of 2011 the food was amazing. Lately though, the portions have been getting smaller, the sauces have been getting runnier and oilier, and the delivery times have been getting longer. Additionally, we always order white meat only chicken, but lately that request has been ignored. The Vegetable Korma has contained more sauce than vegetables since January. The Lamb Rogan Josh used to come with 6-8 pieces of lamb and last week only came with 3. I hope someone at Baluchi's recognizes that the quality of the food has been slipping and that someone does something about it. In the meantime, we will not be ordering from here anymore.

This was hands down, the best takeout I ever had. Gotta get the Combo deal... Samosas for the Appetizer, and Saag Paneer for the Entree. I love how Indian food is a symphony of aromas and mixing dips, sauces, and whatnot. And food came closer to the earliest estimate. Bravo. Last lemme put it this way... I'd want Baluchi's as my last meal.

I love Baluchi's combo meal. For $15 you get an appetizer, entrée and naan. Best deal on Seamless, thus far. Always fresh, pipping hot and finger licking good!

All I can say is this that Baluchis is the best Indian food I have ever had in my life and I am not only comparing this to the restaurant in NYC or US. I have tried a lot of restaurants back in India and this place has awesome food.

This is the first time I tried this location (typically, we order from Spring St.). I must say, it definitely makes a difference. We ordered the same thing we always order (samosas, chicken tikka masala, Tarka Daal, Garlic Naan), but the quality was way off. The samosas were fried too much, the Tarka Daal was watery instead of pureed, and they shorted us on the Garlic Naan (1 piece not 2). Also, they only gave us one small container of rice instead of 2. Chicken Tikka Masala was the only thing consistent. Overall, I would not order from this location again.

We have tried several indian delivery places, and Baluchi's is our favorite. Good variety of meat and vegetarian options. Favorites are the samosas, chicken makhani, and the byranis. Food always arrives hot and within the delivery window. Always a solid choice!

Ordered chicken tikka massala combo meal with vegetable samosas. Baluchi's tikka massala is among the best I've had in NYC, probably better than Salaam Bombay and often better than high-end Tamarind. And if you go for the combo meal, the value is far better than any other high-quality Indian I've tried. Delivery was quick and food was hot and fresh, will definitely order from Baluchi's again.

I've always had great food from Baluchi's, and their delivery time is on the swift side. If you're in delivery range and looking for a totally viable Indian option, you really can't go wrong here.

Never, Never order from this place if you ever want to get your food.. I ordered one hours and 41 minutes ago, and I still have not received my food. When I called 40 minutes ago, they lied and said they were already on their way. When I called back, they put me on hold. When I called back again, they hung up on me. This is the worst service ever!!!
