Aargh! I have been ordering from Banjara for years, and for years it was my go to Indian. No more. They didn't follow any of my directions. I told them not to bring me rice, and I got 2 large containers. I asked for both dishes spicy and they were mild. No spice at all. The servings where tiny compared to what they used to be AND the Achar Ghost was swimming in a pool of oil. Yuck.

They called me 2 hours later to see if I had ordered. Thankfully Seamless called me in forty minutes later and told me they hadn't been able to contact them.. so they cancelled it.. which is awesome!

The food was decent, the delivery fast, but the portions are tiny(why do they charge $18 or so for a chicken dish that has 3 small pieces of chicken in it?) All Indian restaurants though are so overpriced. Don't understand why!

Had a very bad experience with this place. Ordered delivery. It took over an hour and a half. At the hour mark, we called and they said the delivery man had left. A half hour later, he arrived with ice cold food. When we called the restaurant, at first the person we spoke with was very rude. Finally, someone offered to give us a discount the next time. The food is great here but I'd say not worth it given slow delivery and terribly rude employees.

Ordered three items. Garlic Naan, Butter chicken, and Shaag Paneer. All three were among the very worst we've ever had. 1) Garlic Naan was undercooked, doughy, and failed to keep it's shape. The condensation within the foil container further decreased the enjoyment of the naan. Have read about this being a problem on Yelp as well. 2) Butter chicken was in a yellow curry, which is fundamentally wrong for this dish (it's always in a thick, rich, tomato-based orange sauce). Curry was runny and rather tasteless, even after we asked for medium spicy. 3) Shaag Paneer: came in the SAME YELLOW CURRY as the poor butter chicken, and was equally low on taste, bland, and thin. Generally very very bad food. Will not order from here again.

Solid Indian, and not all your typical 6th St. fare - there's a few surprises on this menu, for sure. Try the chicken livers!

Sadly, after an hour and 20 minutes of waiting, we canceled our order. It was our third call; they assured us each time it was on it's way and even admonished us for checking, telling us the delivery person had several stops. Our email confirmation had said 25 - 40 minutes. Disappointed.

The dumpakht is out of this world, and the korma is great. The paneer mahkni is just 3 pieces of cheese in red sauce. Get the dumpakht. The vegetarian kind is perfect.
