Baoguette (Lexington)

I normally don't write comments but the service was so bad it deserves a review. After an hour and a half, we got a phone call the food had arrived. We waited for 15 minutes in the apartment, with no delivery. Turns out the delivery person went to the wrong building, and just left after no one came downstairs. When we figured out what happened, we called baoguette twice and they claimed it was our fault for not going to get the food (down from the 20th floor, and across the street!) We were also blamed for not giving the correct address, even though we ordered from seamlessweb from the usual account. Finally, after we call to cancel at the 2 hour mark, the deliveryman shows up at 2 hours and 15 minutes with the original sandwich made 2 hours prior. I've lived in Manhattan for over 15 years and order in at least 6 days a week. This is by far the worst service I've experienced. There are plenty of places in the city that will not blame you for their bad service. Take your business elsewhere.

Both, the green papaya salad and the BBQ chicken noodles looked and tasted dated, stale, and bland. Very disappointed, will not order again.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!! My food came in a completely torn up bag (the actual paper bag was ripped with the food sticking out), looked like it was spit on. The guy who brought it was a complete asshole, i called the restaurant and they didn't care either. Literally the worst takeout experience i have ever had in NYC.

Multiple times they've taken over 1.5hrs to deliver food that was ordered before the noon rush. Overall the delivery times they advertise are a lie. Food's great though

Terrible service!!!! Took MUCH longer than expected (well over an hour) and when I called to complain, I got a generic Verizon voicemail message - there was no way to reach a person to discuss my order!

Generally like Bauguette, but I ordered for 30-45 minute delivery and the foosd showed up over an hour later and only after I called. Really disappointed in the service. Be wary that this is NOT 30-45 minutes for delivery.

Classic is a great sandwich at a great price. Sloppy bao is good too. I've never had a problem with delivery from them at lunchtime via Seamless. If you go and pick up your sandwich at lunchtime, there's often a line out the door....

Update: My first delivery was quick but was around 6pm. I ordered 4 more times for pickup but still had to wait when I got there. Today I got delivery and it took one hour and 34 minutes. I would not get delivery and I will hesitate picking up unless it is for an evening snack. Update 2: Turns out that my 1h34 delivery was the wrong thing. They said they could send me the right thing when the delivery guy (who had 3 bags in hand when he got to me) returns. This is the first 5-star I have given to a restaurant on this list. I had a Sloppy Bao and it was ridiculous. I wanted to cry. It was spicy and delicious and beautiful. The chicken summer rolls were refreshing and light. I am going back for lunch today and I will probably have another after work.

Terrible attitude. They called me after my order to inform me that there was no beef noodle soup which would have been fine, but when the rest of my order showed up, the charge for the noodle soup was still on the receipt. I called to ask them to remove it and they hung up on me. Will never order from here again!
