I'm not new to take out- I've ordered from a number of restaurants in my life, many including Thai, my favorite cuisine, and I must say this is the first time I've ever ordered from a restaurant where I had to throw out the food after just a few bites because I could not stomach how bad it was. And I wouldn't throw away a $13 meal unless absolutely necessary. I ordered the Gang Entree- the standard Thai curry dish. I ordered it with chicken, with red curry. When my food came I noticed the first red flag- it was accompanied only with the tiniest container of rice- not enough to fill a small cereal bowl. The curry itself was absolutely flavorless, if I had to describe the taste and consistency I'd guess their curry recipe is just lukewarm water with curry powder added to it. I've never had to add salt to a Thai curry dish because it was so bland. The ratio of meat to vegetables was about 1:20- just a few pieces of dry, flavorless chicken pieces, accompanied by bamboo pieces that were so stiff I could barely chew it, and under-cooked green peppers. After just about a few bites, and having to add rice from my own kitchen because they barely gave enough- I was sick. The food tasted terrible, and while I hate wasting money and food, my stomach will definitely thank me for this. I was shocked and disappointed because I carefully read reviews before ordering food- does the restaurant ask coworkers and friends of coworkers to write faux positive reviews? I wouldn't consider myself a tough customer. This is the first time I've ever gone out of my way to write a negative restaurant review because I've never had such a poor experience, and I want to make sure you other seamless users out there do not have the same experience. I've added just one star because I can't submit 0. Now that I'm disappointed, $13 short, still hungry, and finished writing my review, I'm going to go heat some frozen Costco yakisoba now- a treat compared to my curry dish at Bennie's Thai Cafe.

Amazingly tasty Thai food. The green curry with chicken and aubergine's is so amazing I could eat two! The Pad Thai is exactly like the ones I have had in Thailand. Throughly recommend the food and fast service at Bennie's Thai Cafe.

I've been eating in and taking out from Bennie's Thai Cafe for the 14 years it's been in existence. Unfailingly, each and every one of my meals ever so perfectly prepared, augmented by the gracious, accommodating, and sincere staff attitude, from Bennie, herself, on down. has made my enjoyment of the restaurant's finely- and authentically-prepared meals an unfailing, pure gastronomic delights! -- F. We found a nasty bug in our food. We cannot identify it, but it looks like a fly (a size of a house fly). Unfortunately, we will not be ordering from this place again. ????????? Bennie's Thai Cafe ???????????????????? ????????????????????????

Sadly Bennie's used to be one of our favorite Thai spots and the many times we've ordered in the last few months have been a disappointment. We have pretty high standards for Thai food given I used to live in Bangkok and grew up on some Thai cooking, and Bennie's drunken noodles used to be some of the best. Not sure what's happened but quality has gone down overtime. Food is ok, bland, and sometimes shows up cold, which really takes away from Thai food, especially noodles. We will order if desperate (it's like the exbf that you keep giving another chance hoping things will be as great as it used to be, knowing it won't) but now we're trying out other Thai spots in fidi to find our new go to / boyfriend. It was a good run, Bennie's!

My go-to for Thai in the neighborhood. If only they didn't close for orders at 8 pm - that is my one qualm!

Ordered Pad Thai and Spring Rolls. It was mediocre. Wouldn't order from there again or suggest it to anyone.

So so thai food. I eat here a good bit but only because there's no great thai downtown. Sometimes they use really dank chicken (especially during lunch), so I would avoid that during lunch.

'If you don't have anything nice to say about someone, don't say anything at all' -- This is my exception. Spring rolls were doughy and under cooked, pad thai tasted like it had gristle from the grill in it and a pronounced iron-like taste. I couldn't even make it though the dish, had to stop. All this for $20 (with tax and tip)? No thanks. The four star rating was probably bought.

Best Thai Iced tea in FiDi! Soup was very spicy, but I wish they gave more shrimp.
