Big Daddy's (Upper East)

well the good thing about dining in is a restaurant can't screw up your order, like Big Daddy's. I asked for a medium WELL burger with mayo & LOTS (yes it was in all caps) Ketchup & Onion Rings. Instead I got a medium RARE burger with Mustard that was super cold, 2 packets of ketchup (which is guess is lots compared to none) and my onion rings were cold & not fully cooked. Overall disgusting!

Don't know what's gone wrong with Big Daddy, at least for delivery food. The burger used to be delivered in a cool little box with checkered paper. But more important, the Bad Boy burger is now just your ordinary greasy spoon pattie with a mediocre sesame buns and dull fries. I ordered my last fom hem tonight.

Mozz sticks very nice, even if served in a MASSIVE plastic container. Burger (meat) was fine, not great, and bun too big and WAY dry. fries were great. burger served in paper plate which was nice. (i'm no enviro-green-eco nut, but these plastic containers are getting out of hand...)

In retrospect, I don't believe the positive reviews... for our part, order came late, incomplete, cold and wrong. Went to bed hungry, went over the reviews and it seems likely that Big Daddys positive reviews are not real customers. Be warned, I wish I had been. Guys, how can you send chocolate cake in place of a chocolate shake? Beyond that, the food came cold and we had to go digging through old stuff to find a straw for the vanilla shake that they did send. (Guys, are we that clueless?) My spouse did like the ribs (I thought they were 'blah') but the fried chicken came damp and cold, so not a good experience. Reading other reviews (not the 5 star ones which seem fake) I think the 1 and 2 star reviews have it nailed. Avoid this 1 star jip joint.

Food is decent. Delivery is just horrible. I ordered my breakfast at 10:15am. At 11:05am, they called me to tell me they had run out of something. It took them 50 minutes and they hadn't even processed my order...argh! And the worst part is, I live right on their corner. This was the first time I ordered from Big Daddy's. I won't be ordering from them again. Gracie's Corner Diner delivers to me consistently in 15 minutes. VERY DISAPPOINTED. OVERPRICED DINER FOOD.

I always order from Big Daddy's--despite the fact that they repeatedly forget the cheese with my cheese fries or send me a burger when I ordered a turkey wrap, and then when I call about it they argue with me and refuse to bring the correct items to me. Last night I ordered and fell asleep before receiving the food. I understand that is a fault of my own, but when I called to ask if there was anything they could do, because it was 85$, they said no because they made the food and need to remake it. When I said, let's be real, the food you made and charged me 85$ for didn't cost you 85$, the manager interrupted and said their food costs them 30%, so she would charge me an additional 30% to redeliver it, as if she was doing me a favor and I ultimately would end up paying 110$ for one order. Thanks for letting me know that I have been paying 70% more than the actual cost of your terrible food. The only reason I ever ordered from Big Daddy's is for cheese fries, but I am an idiot for doing so because they a) always forget the cheese anyways (2$ by the way) and b) they make a 70% profit off of delivering wrong orders.

Always happy with Big Daddy's. Mozz sticks are really, really good just like the menu says! You can't go wrong with an Egg Mcdaddy for bfast or a turkey burger or mac and cheese! The chicken fingers are on a stick, which is a nice treat.. and don't get me started on the desserts! EVERYTHING sweet or frozen is awesome! Love this place

don't waste your time ordering from here. the food is subpar, and they can't get a simple order right. they even ran out of mozz stix...the only reason we wanted big daddy's to start. boo.

My food arrived an hour and a half after I ordered and it was cold. I called twice to check on my order and didn't even get an apologize. I won't be ordering from Big Daddy's again.

I have ordered from BIg Daddys a few times and the food is generally below par. Food is pitched to customers based on Gimmicks as is evident in the names such as "Soupy Sales of the Day" i.e. soup of the day, typically chicken soup that has very little white meat and has only a few vegetables. Big Daddy's should focus more on their food than creating a quasi 50s diner style restaurant. Try any other neighborhood diner for better food and better prices.

I was hesitant to order from this place because I know and love several places that serve the same things for 30-50% less, but I decided to try it. I ordered the veggie burger, which was good, better than several other places I've tried, worth the price-it's huge. I couldn't come close to finishing it, probably because I tried some of my boyfriend's order first-cookie dough pancakes and the fried cookie dough. OMG! Just order it. It'll take hours in the gym to burn it off but I never realized how incomplete my life was until I bit through the warm cinnamon and sugar coated crispy outside into the gooey chocolate chip cookie dough center and if that's not enough for you it comes with a generous side of vanilla ice cream, tons of hot fudge, whipped cream and colorful sprinkles! I don't even like whipped cream or sprinkles and they were good. The food is good, the portions are really big, so keep that in mind when ordering and the delivery was pretty quick. I'll order from them again.

Horrible customer service. I ordered delivery and it never showed up. When I called Big Daddy's to let them know that I never got my order, they assured me it had been delivered to me and I had signed for it. They never once offered to replace my order, just continued to say it had been delivered. Thank goodness for SeamlessWeb who credited my order. I will never order or go to Big Daddy's again.

problem with accurate description of menu: i ordered the big daddy sundae. first of all, the diner doesn't carry marshmallow fluff (at all) and so they just put little marshmallows on to substitute that. of course, the two are not the same, so why do they advertise the fluff at all? second, they are no longer carrying/using HD ice cream -- they're using another brand that is hard to figure out by taste. i suspected it as soon as the tell-tale vanilla HD flavor went missing from my sundae and was replaced with a much less exciting vanilla. also, i asked for choco-choco chip ice cream (a HD classic) and they say they no longer get it. my problem is this: they charge way too much for the food to not have quality ingredients. and also, can they no longer afford to buy marshmallow fluff and HD ice cream? a $10 sundae should at least have that!
