Big Daddy's (Upper West)

Good food, and big portions! Quality is very consistent. Not much to choose from in terms of healthy eating, but if you're in the mood for a burger, they're fine. Everything travels well, even the french fries and shakes (but we are only a few blocks away, so results may vary). We order from them a lot. Once in a while they goof up an order, but not often. Food takes a while to arrive (30-60 minutes, for a few blocks), so order ahead of your appetite. Prices are a little high, IMO, but we pay them, so...

Why would you advertise that you deliver ice cream if you can't deliver it cold??? Not only did I order a banana smoothie and didn't get that but they gave me a banana split instead that was delivered as one big soupy mess. I'm beyond disappointed with my order and with this overpriced restaurant. Never order desert from this place again!

ordered 5:16 pm food arrived at 7:25 COLD, called the restaurant the agent says order is out and should arrive any minute, this is horrible customer service experience not to mention that she did not even want to check with the specific delivery guy and when the guy arrives he doesnt speak english when he calls me and doesnt say where he is just some words i did not understand then after 10 mins i call him and say where are you again he says things i do not understand then 5 mins after that he rings my doorbell and as i said before the order was extremely cold. Well i am not going to order from Big Daddy's again untill this gets sorted out permanently.

Shakes and burgers here are good, the rest of the food is just okay. Like many other restaurants they don't pack fries/tots with any escape for the steam so almost always soggy for delivery. Portions are big so easy to split over multiple meals

HORRENDOUS! Ignore the one star rating - it wouldn't let me give 0 stars. Ordered macaroni and cheese, chicken noodle soup, and a chocolate cookie sundae for 30 DOLLARS. It took nearly an hour. Mac and cheese and "cookie sundae" (aka a cookie) came in tiny proportions, cold, and rock hard. "Chicken noodle soup" was in fact, tomato soup. Called the restaurant asking for chicken soup, as ordered. Was told "we ran out of chicken, that's why they brought you tomato." Um, hello, isn't that why Seamless asks for our phone numbers in case the restaurant has a problem? Was told I could have a discount at a later date, and they hung up. So for $30, I had the wrong soup, a bite of hard macaroni and cheese, and not even a bite of the cookie - it was too much like a rock. Don't worry Big Daddy's, I'm not going to bother to take you up on that discounted soup, because that would mean I would have to deal with you again. NEVER ORDER FROM HERE!

This place I so hit or miss. The food is really overpriced. The first time I had the chicken it was nothing to write home about. More recently it's gotten better. The burgers have ranged from really good to flat out terrible, and this is ordering the same burger, not even switching it up. Actually my most recent order was really bad, the burger was cold and red so I was concerned it hadn't been cooked long enough and didn't finish it. The fries were different than usual and cold too. The desserts are typically decent and I think being able to order a milkshake and an apple pie late at night is pretty cool, but again it's overpriced. On the whole there are better options on the upper west side.

Not worth the prices, $10 for mozz sticks? $14 for a limp turkey sandwich with 1 piece of bacon... Seriously Big Daddy's? I won't be ordering from you anymore. Banned!

Ordered $30 worth of food and delivery was not as described. Spoke to waitress answering phone on 12/12/12 at 8:50pm who did not care and placed manager on phone. Delivery was over an hour past stated time on Seemless web. Spoke to manager Justin who wanted to resend another delivery at 9pm after order was placed at 7:15pm...it's a no brainer, I will never visit/order from Big D-as in Disappointments again!!! DON"T DO IT!!!!

The food here is always quite good. If you've ever eaten at Big Daddy's you know the menu here is rather unique, which can be good and bad. I've had the burger, the turkey club sandwich frequently, both are great. Fries and tator tots are both good sides, though the fries tend to be a little heavy on the grease it seems. Not sure how else to describe it. But you don't go to Big Daddy's for healthy I guess! Meal often comes with a small cup of little pickles, which is always a delight. Price is just a little higher than you'd pay for other more generic take out.

Not good. We had to throw one of the meals away because the special instructions we put into the website were ignored. We really like the food from here but this is the third big mistake they've made with an order of ours and so I think now may be the time to try another local restaurant. Shame.

The worst delivery service I've ever seen. After one hour waiting, I called Big Daddy's to know where was my order. They didn't even want to know my name to find the order. They just kept repeating that "all orders were out" for delivery. After one hour and a half, a called again and convinced the attendant to look for my order. She realized that they had FORGOTTEN to process my order! End of story, I got my sandwiches two hours later. And I live one block away from them. Big Daddy's never again!

Not bad at all, your every day run of the mill diner food. Zero points for the "Big Daddy's" gimmick. We get it...it's the 50's not stop there! Who cares?!

The food is good, but the prices are kind of insane. Everything is $10+, even a small cup of chili. Prices aside, I can't complain about the food or delivery time.
