Bistro Cafe (Park Ave)

Pretty awful, especially since food from the other Bistro Cafes have been quite good. I had the tempura udon noodle soup, which initially came loaded with red pepper flakes (since when is that made spicy??). I couldn't eat it, so I called the restaurant and they told me next time I should specially ask not to have hot pepper added (how would I know to do that when it isn't listed as a spicy dish?). Anyway, the new one arrived and it was absolutely tastless. The tempura wasn't tempura, but thickly breaded shrimp which had been soaking in the soup. They had all but run out of every kind of sushi (by 1:15pm), so the roll I got was also tasteless. I won't be ordering from there again, even with the 20% discount.

Avoid! I was starving & this was supposed to come in 15-30 min. 30+ min later I was getting angry, then my doorman rang so I went to wait by the door. 10 min later and still no food, huh? Then I get a call on my cell, "what floor are you?" Um, the floor I put on the order, the Penthouse. The guy sounded like he spoke English fine, however it seems that he has no idea what the penthouse is! I tried to explain it and he said ok. More time ticks by, so I call him back, he asks again which floor?! I explain again and he says he'll check, then hangs up on me! Then luckily my doorman called back b/c he stopped the guy leaving the building with my food and showed him how to press the PH in the elevator. So I finally got my cold, crappy food. Without that experience I'd give 2 stars for the food. Oh and if I wanted my cold sandwich to taste like pickles I would order pickles. I hate when restaurants lay a huge pickle across a sandwich when no pickles were ordered. Very frustrating experience.

Today i ordered New England Clam chowder and it tastes like there was soap in the soup. In the past I have ordered it and it was delicious. I threw the soup away. Irate the soup NO stars!

The food is very good. I used to order their Montey sandwich about once a week with no problems. Today, however, it's been over an hour since I order, and the food has yet to arrive. I called and they said since my job is 10 blocks away and the delivery guy is walking, I should give it some time. Not sure what happened today, but at 65min (estimate was 15-30min), I probably won't chance it again.

Really, really great. Efficient delivery that was brought right up to my desk. Food was hot and fresh. I've been looking for a good (and non-sketchy!) ramen/udon place, so this will definitely be my favorite from now on. I had the Chicken Udon. Oh, and if you're picky like me, don't forget to ask them to hold the mushrooms!

The food is good, but their delivery times are 2x what they claim. That can be frustrating when you're trying to schedule around meetings. **Updating my review** I consistently have to wait over an hour and a half for my food. I really like the food, but the delivery times need to get better.

Missing items from salad, they attached a list to the salad bowl and all the items were not listed on that. It's great that they have a lot of toss-ins included in the price, it would just be nice if they actually included them. However, the ingredients were all fresh and what I did get was very enjoyable. I would order from them again.

Not only did they forget to add the tuna I ordered (and paid extra for), but there were multiple random extra piece of toppings I didn't order and the dressing wasn't mixed in as I selected (which, though, I should be glad for because the dressing is extremely balsamic-y and overpowering). I'd suggest ordering from somewhere else.
