Bistro Nora

Food was flavorless and poorly cooked. The macaroni and cheese was incredibly dry. The entire top layer of noodles had no cheese on it. Just a solid block of noodle. The cheese nested underneath was sparse and lacked any sort of discernible flavor. Really gross. My girlfriend ordered the "penne pomodoro." Never before have I seen such runny cheese. I mistook it for a white sauce. Really confusing. The gf said that her food tasted like rubber. It also looked like rubber. They were really fast though. They brought us that shitty food really quickly. God bless Bistro Nora. The ceasar salad was edible, because I think the dressing was from a bottle. Good save, Nora.

I have ordered from Bistro Nora over the past few months. Generally they have a decent, well priced product, but it is not always consistent. Tonight I ordered a simple meal--cheeseburger and a salad with a can of soda. It arrived past the time stated for delivery. The burger was cold. Heating it up and the bun as well did not help much. The deliveryman also I learned dropped it on the way so the salad was tossed all over the burger. When I called to report the problem the owner was nice enough about it and offered to refund my money but the bottom line is that the quality is inconsistent. Perhaps they will fix the problem and be consistent, but I for one will not order from here again.

Bistro Nora is awesome. I only review the places that are the best; tre otto, toscanos, most recently insomnia cookes - and Bistro Nora has been added to that list. Chicken tacos exactly what I was hoping for, mac and cheese is excellent. Cookies, so very very good. Thank you Bistro Nora.

Was excited to try Bistro Nora out since our neighborhood--2nd Ave/82nd was lacking a solid American restaurant that serves classic homey staples. It was EXCELLENT. Solid hummus--very tasty dare I say better than a nearby hummus based restaurant :) It is a bit thicker in consistency but extremely flavorful. My husband tried the roasted chicken and thought it was well cooked/seasoned he ate everything on his plate! I had the grilled salmon---I was impressed when it arrived, it was very visually appealing-a nicer cut of salmon....I was NOT disappointed when I had my first bite. Wonderful. All in all, we loved our meal...We will most definitely order again and reco to others! Solid and enjoyable. I hope they do well!

I have ordered from here a couple of times. I have had the beet salad, the lamb burger, the nora burger, the brocolli, and the spinach. I have also ordered omelettes. The delivery was always earlier than the quoted time and each time my order was correct. The portions were good-sized. Each time I ordered my burger, it was to the requested temperature. I also had special instructions because i am trying to limit my intake of carbs and they always had the special reqeusts correct. Overall, I really enjoyed the food. I found my beef burger perfectly cooked and the beef had great flavor. The lamb burger was awesome and had wonderful herbal flavor. I woudl recommend going on the medium rare side. All of the side salads are generously portioned. The beet salad was a very large portion of arugula and that was a suprise. The omelets were a bit overcooked but I bought them to reheat for breakfast the following morning anyway. The side orders of brocolli and spinach are large and well seasoned. Overall, I was very happy with each purchase I made and i will continue to order from here when in the mood for a burger and some great tasting veges.

The burger I ordered was undercooked and so greasy that the grease pooled at the bottom of the styrofoam and soaked through the bun. I got sick half way through eating it & had to throw it out.

One star is for the French Onion Soup because it was pretty good. The BIG failure was the RARE meat on my burger when I ordered WELL DONE!

This was the first time I've ordered from them and I will definitely order from them again. I had the NY Strip and it was cooked perfectly. The potatoes and spinach were delicious and the the delivery was fast and courteous.

A great place for a quick meal. I especially like the chili, add beef, and comes on rice with cheese and sour cream on top. Generous portion. Food arrives hot and on time (I'm only a block away). Delivery guy is always nice. Tip: Manage your expectations for the mac and cheese - it is a HUGE portion, but leaves much to desire in way of flavor.

I ordered a steak au poivre medium rare and it came out well done. I now have stew meat for tomorrow night, since this is inedible in the way they sent it. Perhaps an experienced chef might be a good idea for the place.

The hamburger is a good tasting thick burger served with a dill pickle wedge, onion, tomato, and lettuce. Fries are good not great. The mac and cheese was NOT as described on the menu. Someone just tossed some cheese into hot elbow macaroni and sent it as mac and cheese. Disappointing.
