Blockheads Burritos (Amsterdam)

I've had good experiences with Blockheads in the past, but they've lost me for good as a customer after last night. T I ordered at 7:30 and was told it would be 30-45 minutes. After an hour, I called and was told it would be there in 5 minutes. Food arrived at 845 and I immediately noticed the order was wrong. When I called back, they said they would send a replacement order. After another hour I called again, and they said that the delivery person had left 10 minutes ago. After another 30 minutes we called and kept continually getting put on hold (for 5-10 minutes at a time). Each time a person would come back on the phone we would have to retell the entire story and no on could tell us where the food was. I was kept on the phone for over 45 minutes. Only then did someone tell us that the second order had not been sent out for delivery, but was at the restaurant waiting for us to pick it up. At this point, they said we could come pick up the food, but I said I had no interest in food that had been cooked over two hours ago and left sitting out. After all this, it was now almost 11 and the kitchen was closed. I finally gave up and just canceled the order. At no point in the process did anyone at Blockheads step up and take responsibility or even provide a sincere apology.

Ordered 1 chicken Burrito, delivery window was 60-75 minutes - plenty of time. Called after 60 minutes to check status and they told me it was being sent right out. I received the order 90 minutes after it was placed and the food was about room temp. Unacceptable. I've ordered from this place before and have always been on the fence because the food is on the expensive side. Luckily, there is no shortage of places to order a good burrito in NYC for less.

First time ordering from the Amsterdam restaurant for delivery. Very long wait time (at the end of their stated window). Sadly my order was also stone cold. Yes it is January but this was the straw that made me review on the first date. I'd consider eating in but won't be getting delivery again.

I usually enjoy Blockheads when I'm at the restaurant, but when we ordered in, they got our order wrong and our burritos were falling apart--they needed to wrap them in tin foil!

I'm not sure what's up with the spate of negative review lately... But my order from Blockheads was fast, hot and tasty as always tonight! Definitely first on my list of "go-to" restaurants when I'm craving "texican" food.

Blockheads food is actually good - but NOT when it comes to delivery. I read the other reviews and ordered anyway. Big mistake. If you order from here, your food WILL be cold. Do not think that, for you, it will be different. They also forgot my drink. I love Blockheads, but I will only be eating there from now on.

This review is based on a single experience but it was bad enough to guarantee it was the only chance I'd give em. I paid $11 for a cold, bland burrito with stale rice and dry beans. Very disappointing.

Received my burrito uncooked (rather, not heated up after assembly so cheese was unmelted, beans were cold, etc), which made me laugh, but isn't what I expect when I order food. It was pretty good after I cooked it?

Blockheads is VERY good with allergies! I have a sever milk allergy and I wrote in the instruction box what I was allergic to and my order was allergy free!! Thank you Blockheads for being so careful!

food was decent not great. I got the chicken burrito and it came with lettuce inside that was wilted and sort of mushy by the time it got delivered. wasn't my favorite

Usually good but overpriced. A burrito that costs $16 is just too much, especially that it comes with nothing to accompany it.

Food arrived quickly but cold. I'm sure I would have enjoyed it if it were even warmish, but burritos were not meant to be eaten cold.
