BonChon Chicken at John St

The service is why I am giving Bon Chon 2 stars. They NEVER deliver within the predicted window. For example I placed an order 55 minutes ago and the window was 35 to 50 minutes. I called to see if it was on its way (after a previous order through Seamless took an hour and 45 minutes) and it was, "Just leaving now." So apparently they try to get the order out the door within the window, delivered to you. On top of that they overload the delivery people so it takes extra long to get from the restaurant to you. That being said, if you want crispy chicken with a salty, sweet and optionally spicy sauce, you can't go wrong. The other food is fine for Korean fast food, nothing special.

It takes forever for food to get to you but the chicken is so good it's worth the wait. But steer clear of the fries. They're always sort of soggy by the time it gets to my door.

Chicken wings are the best thing on the menu, nice and spicy. If you like heat, try the Green sauce. .

Despite the cost, the chicken is excellent. The service, albeit slow on delivery orders, is fair. Lost track of my order once and they offered to throw in a few more pieces for free. They can admit when they are at fault and they get my upvote for that.

I ordered a medium chicken wing combo, which should include 13 wings. However, mine only came with 11 wings!

It took just 20 minutes to come in my apartment Firday Night. I'm situated on William st. The fried chicken was delicious! I highly recommend Bonchon.
