A really amazing and quick curry delivery place! We're partial to the Saag and Tikka Masala at the spiciest level. Comes with papadums and delicious sauces! The garlic naan is of course delicious. The curry quality is worth the price, and they usually deliver in about 30 minutes, super speedy! Also, the lunch specials are giant and a bargain. I highly recommend!

I really like this place, but I ordered a full price curry meal for $18 thinking I'd get more food becuase I was pretty hungry. Instead I was given the regular lunch meal, so I basically paid $20 for something I could've had for $10. Perhaps that's my mistake, but it's misleading at best.

The office's go-to Indian take-out restaurant. My favorite dish is the Madras lunch special, the sauce has a great flavor. Made with lots of sauce, order extra naan to dip in. Medium spice level is perfect for me, mild is barely spicy, and vindaloo is just too spicy. From our experience, they have always delivered on time.

Food was good but expect a long wait time for delivery. On seamless it states a 30 to 45 wait time, but, it took over an hour and 20 minutes....on a dry Tuesday night...not acceptable in my opinion when there are way too many other places to order from.

Delivery was fine (30-40 minutes, less than stated in my email). I ordered vindaloo with paneer. They made it spicy, as requested (I'm Indian, so I mean actually spicy!), but the rice was not fully cooked. It was hard in the middle, which basically ruined the meal. The rice did not soak up the curry very well and it crunched with every bite. Really too bad.

i will echo David M.'s comments below. The delivery estimate time changed after placing the order. When I called the restaurant it took quite some time to find the order (asked for the delivery address twice, asked me I was calling the right Bricklane, and then asked me to describe the order). When i told the person that the delivery estimate had changed after placing the order the blame was quickly put on Seamless.com

I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala lunch special. My order arrived on time and was surprisingly good! Chicken was tender and not chewy or dry. The sauce was tasty and the portion was more dinner size than lunch. In fact, I couldn't finish it! A couple of surprises was the side of lentils in a yellow curry sauce and the little cup of coconut milk. Very sweet and tasty! All in all, I am pleased will definitely order again.

Their goan curry is excellent. Legitimate spice. The "samosa" is a bit of joke, but you get a significant amount of food regardless.

Just received delivery from BCHT. To summarize, PRO: The food was hot when it arrived, and the mango lassi i ordered was good. CON: The serving size is RIDICULOUSLY small for the price. I got the chicken vindaloo, which included a total of six tiny bite-sized pieces of chicken, and two even smaller pieces of potato -- for $17.00. Also, they charged me $2.00 for a can of coke and then left it out of my order, for which i had to call back and then wait another ten minutes to receive. un-bookmarking them now -- there are too many other Indian places to order from to put up with this.

Lasuni gobi (aka Manchurian cauliflower) had sesame seeds & a tangy, vinegary tomato & garlic sauce, which was not oily but soggy when arrived . Chicken tikka masala had a tomato cream sauce & a nice base of fenugreek leaves but M. & I didn't find this curry to be one of their signature sauces. We preferred the madras sauce, which I ordered w/ paneer - the sauce had mustard seeds, curry leaves, red chilies, & coconut milk. Every dish was, however, way TOO SALTY and oily for my palate. Their lunch combos also include a "throw-away" yellowish sour & oily curry w/ carrots & tomato, rice w/ peas, a veggie samosa, a piece of overly-doughy naan, and a crispy & peppery flat chip (also pretty salty!). As mentioned, each dish was generously doused with HEAVY SALT content, which is an unnecessary addition, especially since Indian spices can hold their own & provide more than enough depth & seasonings to any Indian dish. M. & I have ordered or eaten here countless times over the years but I cannot on good conscience to my diet and the healthiness of others continue to endorse eating any of Bricklane's heavily-salted dishes nor can I give them a decent rating.

The food quality and service at this place have declined dramatically since their opening. The lunch specials remain serviceable, but they're not nearly as flavorful as they used to be. Delivery times remain pretty good, but the number of errors in orders has increased to what I consider to be an unacceptable level. There are only so many times one can order lamb and get chicken before losing one's patience. My favorites (used to be) bhuna lamb and madras lamb. If you're going to order from Bricklane, give them a try. Who knows, you might even get what you ordered.

Finally! A decent Indian restaurant that delivers to midtown west!! We are so happy with Bricklane. We have really struggled to find an Indian place that will deliver to us that we like and we finally found it! We ordered the chana tikka masala, saag paneer, samosas and naan and really liked all items. Well-flavored, good amount of spice and appropriate chutneys and sauces included. Both main dishes had the right amount of creaminess that we have found lacking in some of the other restaurants in the area. Just for reference, our favorite Indian restaurants in NYC are Indus Valley near Columbia and Muglai on the UWS and Bricklane is very similar in flavor. Quick delivery too.
