Britain Indian Restaurant (formerly Brick Lane Indian)

Easily the best Indian vegetarian food in the whole Brooklyn Heights/Cobble Hill/Carroll Gardens area and we have tried them all. Food actually arrives on time, hot, and full of flavor. They include ample dal and the correct condiments. Very happy with this restaurant!

My go-to Indian spot in the area-- their dinner special is well worth it, and comes with more (naan, chutney, etc.) than other ones I've tried. Also a fan of their mango lassis. Aside from that, delivery has always been prompt and they've never made mistakes on any of my orders.

Being British I tend to think that I know a good deal about Indian food. I can tell you that this was one of the worst curries I have EVER tasted. Bland, greasy. The lamb was tough and inedible, even the chutney was cheap and nasty. Do not order from here. Huge waste of $5O.

The vegetarian dishes are really good, especially the Samosa Chat. Will definitely be ordering from here again. Very difficult to find even half good Indian Food in this neighborhood.

while we would agree with most, and feel that this is just a place to go when we want indian food in the neighborhood, as it satisfies the craving but is just average at best... we did think it warranted adding a review, because having read all the reviews decrying how long delivery took, we decided to place our order earlier then we actually wanted to eat, thinking if they take as long as everyone says, the food will then show up when we actually want it. it showed up barely 15 minutes later. so maybe they have heard the complaints, and rectified the situation.

Food took WAY too long. The quote was not accurate at all and when I called our food hadn't even left the restaurant yet. Beware if you are hungry!

It's been an hour and a half since I placed a small order for two with Raga and I still haven't gotten it. After 45 minutes I tried to call the restaurant to check up on the order and they told me it was out for delivery. 20 minutes after that I called again and the man on the phone was extremely rude, saying it had just gone out two minutes ago and then hung up on me. An hour and a half later, nothing has arrived. Save yourself the trouble, go somewhere else.

We love indian food and have tried a variety of local places. We found this to be most authentic. The Malai Kofta is quite good. Delivery was very quick. It said 30-45 minutes but arrived sooner.

As most people realize, good Indian and Chinese food in these neighborhoods (Bk Heights, Boerum & Cobble Hill etc.) cannot be found. Edible and good enough to scratch the itch of a particular hankering is unfortunately all I realistically demand. Raga is good enough. It's the best I've found in my delivery area and it is not gross. The Mulligatawny soup is incredibly salty (always, it seems). Other mains are sometimes decent, sometimes very heavy (but still ok). I'd maybe give another half star up to 2 1/2 if I could.

Astonishingly terrible. Perhaps the worst meal I've ever eaten. Without a doubt I would recommend hunger over anything on this menu.

Very unhappy they raised the delivery minimum so I can no longer get just the special box. Also they reduced the choices in the special box.

Inconsistent. One time I ordered mild and got something semi-spicy, another time it was really bland. They never provide the right amount of condiments per entree, even if you ask.
