Brother Jimmy's - Amsterdam Ave

I'm one of the first to complain (and one of the reviews below was mine), so fair is fair. We decided to give Brother Jimmy's another chance and submitted an order. At the time we were submitting it, the delivery estimate given was 60 to 75 minutes. (That was revised and appeared as 30 to 45 on the confirmation, but of course we had already submitted the order at that point.) The order appeared at our door about 32 minutes from the moment I pressed "Send". It was complete and exactly as ordered, down to the extra barbeque sauce we requested. Brother Jimmy's scored on this one, no doubt about it,.

I have mixed reviews for my Brother Jimmy's order. My pulled BBQ chicken sandwich was incredible: it was hot, flavorful, juicy, and the bun wasn't soggy, which is unusual for such a saucy sandwich. I chose sweet potato fries as my side and was once again not disappointed: the fries had pieces of the skin still on them and were packed open so they didn't get soggy on the way over (Brother Jimmy's has this delivery thing down pat). I also paid the extra fifty cents and got the coleslaw, which was well worth the money because it was creamy and crunchy and fresh. The only real disappointment of the order was the dessert: I ordered the pecan pie (a whole, mini pecan pie by the way--very cute), and while it looked delicious, the crust had an oniony smell and flavor to it. It was so bad that I actually threw the whole thing out after my first bite... Overall, a great delivery until I got to the end, but I will definitely be giving Brother Jimmy's a second chance to impress!

Waited for my food for 1.5 hours. Called after the first 45 min, and they said it was on it's way. Then after 1.5 hours, I called again and they said there must have been a problem w/Seamless Web. Jenny said she wouldn't charge me for this order, and wld give me a free appetizer on my next order. Thank you. Maybe Seamless Web isn't the way to order from Brother Jimmy's. Just call direct next time. Food from there is always good, though.

Excellent BBQ delivery (although its not the same as the best in the city). Great ribs and pulled pork. Fried brussel sprouts are amazing.

They food is okay I guess, when you are craving some southern food that delivers on the UWS. However, the delivery service is AWFUL. I live one block away ( I know, I was hungover) and they take forever. Last time it took over an hour, and the time before that, I ordered over the phone and they forgot to put my order in completely. Advice: better to pick it up yourself if you're hungry.

As several others have complained below, thier delivery takes forever. I ordered my food 1 hour and 30 minutes ago; it's yet to arrive (despite the fact that my ETA at order was 45 - 60 min). I should have heeded to the previous reviews. Unless you don't really care how long it takes for you food to arrive, I suggest you look elsewhere for delivery.

Apparently they actually birth the animal, raise it, celebrate it and then cook it as the food takes upwards of 1.5 hours to get here. My husband went from weighting 200 lbs to 187 in the time we waited. Fortunately the delivery man did not perish on his trek from the 6 blocks it took to get here because he ate half our fries. Lastly my husband now has a gluten allergy because the bread his sandwich was served on was from the Clinton Administration.

fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice shame on me: The first time you forget to include part of the order, its an honest mistake but the second time is indicative of something more serious. What use is a country fried steak without the gravy, twice? and how do you neglect to make it, when it is made from the pan deglazings? I might as well have flushed the money down the toilet as i have with the steaks.

I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries. Like others have mentioned, it took awhile to get my order and it wasn't that warm. I was disappointed that even though I got pulled pork, the sauce was on the side and it was a tiny little cup, not enough to even cover half the sandwich! Maybe I am spoilt with Dinosaur BBQ but this wasn't good.

I love the Southern dinners, especially the blackened catfish. The spicy wings are also great. Wish they'd offer a pulled-chicken platter, instead of just a sandwich, but a great menu, if a little on the pricey side.

Awesome as usual. The mac and cheese is incredible and I highly recommend the boneless buffalo wings! I would order here again - most definitely!

I love the comfort food from Bro Jim's; however the one problem with ordering their food through Seamless Web is that they don't give you barbecue sauce or don't let you choose which one you get!
