Burger Guru

We are running all day long, coming home late, too tired to prepare anything to eat. What do we do ? We click couple times on our cell phones to place an order on Seamless, right? Right, I did that, ordered from Guru Guys as I've been ordering since they opened couple years ago. Usually their service and food quality were between fairly good to very good. This time food arrived one hour later ( they are only 3 blocks away from us ) , Asian looking delivery guy spotted my cat and said : " You know, Chinese people love black cats, yeah, they love to eat black cats, these are their favorite ! " before that I gave him extra cash tip on top of the CC tip included in Seamless order. Appetizer chicken fingers were cold, way too hard, greasy, too many breadcrumbs, oh well, the entree supposed to be much better, let's see... OMG ! It supposed to be cod fish burger ( bacalao burger ) and it was not ! I felt like eating hard piece of pure salt. That night I went to bed hungry and annoyed I spent $30 and did not eat neither of my food choices. Reconsider your food options around, there is many. Before you order cod-fish burger ask if it's not too salty and if you see Asian-like delivery guy coming to the restaurant : watch carefully if he is not sneaking black cats to the kitchen. Burger Guru guys were great at the beginning of their culinary business endeavor, what's happened ? Bed management skills, worse cooks or you just don't care anymore ? It's NYC, It's Brooklyn, It's North Williamsburg, It's the coolest place on earth, try harder, get better !

I always want to like burger guru and eating in is better than taking out. However for 55.00 I got cold undercooked burgers and fries. Not worth the hefty price tag at all.

I would give Burger Guru a zero if I could. Waiting 3+ hours for a no show on delivery with absolutely no explanation given by the restaurant is unforgivable. They lost a customer forever.

Awesome! I was hesitant at the mixed reviews, but they serve up the juiciest, most succulent organic grass-fed burger (Guru Burger), fresh, crisp fries, and usually in under a half hour.

Pretty tasty burgers, not soggy at all. But how can they charge so much for one hamburger and not include fries or any sides? First and last time I order here.

Cobb salad, super good. Their soups are awesome. You can trust the daily special on this, it's always excellent. Burgers excellent. Love the calamari, I'd get them more often but a bit too pricey. Should be $5-6. Maybe reduce dosage to fit?

I've ordered from here more times than I can count, but I give up. Something happened to this place in the past few months and it's gone from wonderful to horrible. The last five times I've ordered I 1) received a tuna burger where they changed the recipe from the original sashimi tuna to a far inferior product, but didn't update the menu accordingly, 2) had an order take 90+ minutes to arrive, 3) received an order of "wings" that was a pile of overcooked inedible drumstick chunks (not even full pieces, just the discarded parts and splintered bones), 4) found a hair in a side of dressing, and 5) I'm sitting her right now in agony with food poisoning from last night's order. That's it. I gave them so many chances because I liked them so much, but it's gone too far. Never ever ever again.

Only place in this delivery zone (11249 zip code) that does jalapeno poppers the way they should be done. In fact, every appetizer is delicious, especially the artichoke dip, although the amount of chips is far too small for the size of the dip. Variety of burgers is great (I used to have to take a 30 minute walk to eat delicious, practically fat free buffalo), but has the minor downside of no meat temperature choice, although the chef knows what he's doing. Milkshakes are good, not amazing, and I personally wish they had more deserts. Overall, would highly recommend.

I gave this place three chances and all three times I've tried a different burger and they are just not good. The mac n cheese isn't bad and onion rings are ok. I would not order again.

Food arrived super late. Not only did it arrive late but it also arrived cold. I asked for no tomato on my burger and of course it arrives with tomato on the burger. SO SO over this place. I will never order from here again!

it took about 2hours to get the food delivered and when it came it the appetizer was greasy and the veggieburger was just awful and cold. maybe it was a bad night but i don't think i will be trying the Guru for a awhile...

Great burger, delivered. Yes, it's better in person, and yes, no matter what you do with french fries they arrive soggy to some degree when they're delivered. That said, ordered dumont burger med-rare, and a DuMac and cheese. The burger was cooked perfectly, still warm and exactly med-rare. Fries were good too, especially for delivery. DuMac and cheese ships awesome, same eating in or delivery. Took 30 mins to arrive.
