I mean...here's the thing. The food is delicious. It's also wickedly over priced....but it's delicious. I've never had a problem with the delivery except knowing I'm going to have to stick it in the microwave for a few secs, but the location is a ways from my apt, so it's fine. Why do I still order? Because I'm a southern girl who needs her BBQ fix once in awhile and Butcher Bar hits the spot.

I upgraded this to a 2 star because the brisket was decent and one star must be reserved for the worst of the worst, but get your crap together! This restaurants version of the cheese steak is a tasty dish. But it is so rediculously small. I had the cheese steak and my girlfriend had the pulled pork sando. There was no more than 3 oz. of pork on her sandwich and it was $11!!! This place needs to get its price point in line with its portions. I know the "food movement" has led these specialty burger and BBQ joints to think they are worth twice as much as others but this is false. Go to a small BBQ joint in Memphis or Nashville that serve arguably the best BBQ in the world. Is it special? No, its just slow cooked meat over an open or secluded flame. Get your mind right Butcher Bar. Just because you hired a few culinary school graduates you are not on 5th, your in Astoria. Brisket is cooked at too high a temp, the fat leaves coagualtion and melts at a certain temp. You figure that one out. Also, and most of all, YOUR SWEET TEA IS THE WORST IN THE WORLD!!!!! This was a joke, soooo easy, pass this one up folks. I would give it 1.5 but I can't so it gets 1!

I was so excited for Butcher Bar to open and I'm so glad they lived up to my expectations. The meat is some of the best BBQ I've had and it's always fresh. The 50/50 sandwich is amazing..especially the BBQ sauce. It's a little pricey but delivery is always so quick and the food is hot. You won't be disappointed. :)

Food was pretty tasty but I'm giving this place only two stars because of their pricing and portion sizes. Butcher Bar is outrageously expensive. It probably would have been worth paying $15 for a burger if I was sitting in the restaurant and enjoying the ambiance among good company, but I wasn't. I just got home from work and was craving a juicy burger. My food arrived cold, the delivery guy didn't follow the delivery instructions of ringing only the top bell, and he gave me an attitude. You would think a restaurant with such great tasting food would at least have their act together. Cold food, small portions and a bad attitude just makes me never want to order from Butcher Bar again. But let me repeat myself about the food; tastes great but too small and too expensive.

Ordered take out last night from Seamless Web......... Mac & Cheese = 4 Slaw = 4 Sausage of Day = 5 Ribs = 3 Corn Bread = 3 Delivery Time = 5 I was here a few days ago and had a belly filling meal. As I walked out I notice the Seamless Web logo. I am a big fan of this service. Kudos......... I placed my order and it arrived pretty fast I thought. Well below recommended delivery time. Food was hot considering it was a cold night, 30 or so degrees. Started straight to the good stuff, Sausage of the Day. I want to thank the organic feed animal that made this possible. It was very good, a home run. Moist and tender Sausage with lots of flavor and a spicy finish. Excellent meat. Up next was Mac and Cheese. Also, good with flavor and creamy good stuff. Nice, very nice. The ribs, just miss the mark. You open the container and drooling tasty ribs. Not. Except, they looked like a white girl on here first beach day. No tan, ugh. Both are not a pretty sight. Both could be enjoyed naked, but the ribs needed some, some sauce, a shame. The St. Louis Style Dry Rubbed Smoked Ribs just did not have that nice caramelize exterior with that magic ring inside. I know this has to do with their cooking process. I just did not like their presentation. Taste was OK. Their sweet & spicy sauce made it easier to enjoy. Not a fan of these ribs........... One of the things that disappoints me with delivery is when a restaurant places a food item that is just below par. Like a burnt corn bread nugget. My wife had the tasty one. I had the burnt one. What are you going to do call and have another delivered. Boohoo. Oh yea, what's up with the nugget size cornbread. A little bigger than cubes of sugar. Slaw was good. Crisp and tasty. Overall, I highly recommend Butcher Bar. There is some good cooking going on. Of all the different styles of food, BBQ is one that you are going to have an opinion. It is like talking politics or religion at the dinner table, someone is going to have his/her mouth full. Great touch with Seamless Web.

Food was cold (although they are only 3 blocks away). Portions are small for the high price. The flavor is adequate. I probably will not be ordering from here again, as The Strand is just as close and much better value and flavor. However, since they have no delivery, I'll just have to get my BBQ myself.

The speed of delivery and quality of the meat were amazing. The corn on the cob and the cornbread were very good. The most unremarkable - the baked beans. Skip them unless you're really bent on beans Also note - the 1/4 lb of meat is smaller than it seems - a decent amount for just one person. We managed for a good meal for two with 1/2 lb of meat and 3 sides.

One word: amazing! We have eaten at this place and now ordered delivery from them two times. The food is amazing and it comes promptly. It's always warm and the portions are generous. Couldn't be happier with this place.

Food is decent when one manages to receive it. We've had more than one delivery sent out incorrectly. The "corrected" delivery was still wrong.

Unfortunately, I received all my food stone cold and an hour after ordering. Plus, for what I ordered and received, everything was far overpriced. After warming everything up in the micro however, it was delicious. The Baked Beans are amazing. I ordered the Burnt Ends sandwich and received a Pulled Pork Sandwich. Wrong order, good sandwich. I would not recommend delivery. Eat in.

I order from here a lot. At least once a week. It's gotten better all around but I will stay that it's still not consistent. The brisket ranges from the best ever to rubbery, tough and cold. The portions are still on the small size - especially for the price. I will say though.. their brisket philly cheese steak is one of the best things I've ever eaten.

Food is great when it actually comes. I've had them send PBLTs without Lettuce or Tomato, no sorry or offer to rectify, just a refund. Had them lose orders and the same thing. The food is great when you get it but if they make a mistake it's blown off as no big deal and you are left with someone (or everyone) without a dinner. I was a big fan at first but with so many issues I don't think I'm going to take my business elsewhere.
