NEVER EVER EVER EAT FROM CAFE CHINA. Feel free to eat here if you feel like being communicated as a second class citizen. worst customer service. I am beyond appalled at how this place is even on seamless. Took over an hour for delivery when it said it would take 30-45mins. that is okay considering it was lunch time. However, when I called because they forgot my soup, they offered ZERO apology, guy kept telling me to wait and then hanging up on me. Interestingly enough, he suddenly couldn't speak english anymore when I called back. Wow. How do they even stay in business?

I have eaten at Cafe China several times and enjoyed the food there. My recent delivery order, though, was an entirely different experience. The three dishes we ordered were all so salty they were barely edible. Not sure if there's a different chef for delivery but this was highly disappointing.

We loved the food so much on our first visit to the restaurant last night (where we'd give it 4 to 5 stars) that we ordered in from Cafe China today. We were told our order would take 20-35 minutes; it took 45 minutes to arrive. The spring rolls arrived cold but still crisp. The wonton soup had a very bland broth, and the wontons were also fairly flavorless. The L12 rice with tea smoked duck had disappointingly little duck in it. However, L8 -- the sauteed string beans -- were so incredibly tasty (and perfectly cooked -- soft yet still crisp) and served with such deliciously moist and nutty brown rice (which we also fell in love with last night at the restaurant) that we will definitely try Cafe China again, and hope that our next experience will be better. (3 stars) UPDATE: We ordered again today -- a Sunday afternoon -- and enjoyed the food much more than we did last time. Thumbs up for the meaty sweet & sour baby ribs, the Zha Jiang Mian (delicate flat noodles with minced pork & cucumber), and the appealingly-cooked (browned on one side, soft on the other) vegetable pot stickers. (4+ stars)

Order arrived 30 mins late and Mapo Tofu was literally overflowing with grease. I called and asked for a replacement and the delivery guy waited in the lobby instead of following building instructions on the order and going to service entry. Replacement tasted rancid and there was no soy sauce. The WORST Mapo Tofu I have ever seen or tasted. Late delivery + Terrible food + Bad service = 3 strikes, you're out.

Really love this place! A lot more authentic than most Chinese restaurants. I order from here all the time and have never had a delivery issue.

wow - food is yummy & spicy, delivery service is fast. the braised fish, 3 pepper chicken, dan dan noodles are all excellent. only let down was the soup that comes with the lunch specials

I used to order the Zha Jian Mian for lunch earlier this year and from about Jan - March, it was delicious with delicate but very flavorful minced pork, lots of cucumbers, just the right amount of liquidy sauce, and noodles cooked just right. Also, it was a nice big serving -- which for the price is expected. It is just noodles. Starting March - April, the serving size was downgraded to a side order sized container, the sauce became pasty and less flavorful, veggies shrunk, and the noodles overcooked. Very sad to see them downgrade the food (and raise the prices!).
