Cafe Evergreen

I order from Cafe Evergreen ridiculously often, for two reasons: Yang Chow Fried Rice, Salt & Pepper Calamari. Give it a try.

the old Evergreen was so much better. We miss it. We were excited they reopened but so far the food is not up to par. the new one is bland and the chicken noticeably lower quality. sad to say I can not recommend. It snot bad . . but is is boring

Really good Chinese food. Try the Maison Evergreen fried rice with ginger and pine nuts its addictive. If you like old fashioned chow mein this is the place to get it.

I have been going to & ordering from Evergreen since the early 90s. On my lunch hour I would sit at the bar to eat or order to go + they were always very nice + gave me iced tea while I waited for the food. Everything I have tried & my friends have tried over the years has been excellent. The entire staff is very friendly & Evergreen is very child friendly. Children love to sit at the tables near the fish tank (I haven't been to the new place yet, but I hope they kept the tank). I've been to a few of their Chinese New Years dinners & they are a lot of fun &, of course, a great deal on a lot of food. If you live within ten blocks, Evergreen always delivers in 15-20 minutes, even in bad weather.

WORST PLACE EVER! I got a completely wrong order - paid $30 for 3 sets of ridiculous shrimp dumplings (?!?). Called to fix the order, got hung up on, called back and no one picked up the phone anymore! Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

I generally frequent here for Dimsum on Sundays. Few disappointments ordering online: they are much more expensive online for some reason! Flavor wise, most of the usual suspects from the dimsum menu is good. I did not enjoy the shanghai soup dumplings (dry and flavorless) & I really did no like the cold sesame noodles. Something in it tasted very artificial.

Small order took over an hour to be delivered after being quoted 15-30 minutes. Called them after 40 minutes and they said "order left a minute ago and will be there in a few minutes". They arrived 30 minutes later (12 blocks away). Food was cold and disappointing.

Very disappointed- I ve been to the restaurantbefore . Food is fine but very expensive for what it is-but I ordered soup dumplings before 8pm and received a call to tell me they do not have any left how do you run out of food so early in the evening?

decent shanghai cuisine-- which is saying a lot in the ues. what's up with that $25 minimum order though?! they could get a ton of business if only they brought their minimum down, say $10.

The dim sum is amazing! The other food is good, but not outstanding, so definitely order the dim sum.

The food was great and it was delivered to us within the time frame given. Had the pan-seared dumplings, general tso w/ brown rice (yummy), and pork lo mein. Would definitely order from there again!

The portions were very small for the price. The confirmation email stated that it would take 20 to 35 minutes to arrive. It took over an hour for the food to come. On top of this, they left out one of the orders and when i called they stated it would take another 20 to 30 minutes for the food to arrive. This will be the last time I order from this place.
