Cafe Frida Columbus

We ordered $50 worth of food at 6:35 pm on a Sunday. We received a confirmation email twenty minutes later (seemed a bit odd) and then waited until 8 pm before calling Cafe Frida to find out what was going on. After being put on hold twice, the woman on the phone finally informed us that our food was out for delivery. Fifteen minutes later, we called back and spoke to the manager Angelo, who told us there was a problem with Seamless that prevented the restaurant from printing our order. When we told Angelo that we wanted to cancel the order and get our money back, he said we'd have to decline the delivery, and then Angelo would fax the paperwork over to Seamless for the refund. He refused to refund us over the phone. We immediately called Seamless, and the customer service representative told us that something didn't sound right about the restaurant's story, so she gave us a refund and said she'd follow up with Cafe Frida. It is now 9:20, and the food still hasn't arrived, so we're not sure what happened, but needless to say, Cafe Frida will not receive further business from us. Hopefully you don't have a similar experience, but you may want to go with a different, reliable establishment.

Guacamole, Jalapena Salad, and Sopa Azteca are fresh and always a great choice. Quesadillas are underwhelming and overpriced for what you pay. Enchiladas suizas (chicken with tomatillo) are a solid pick with somewhat authentic Mexico City flavor. Once again, however, these two a la carte enchiladas you receive are tasty yet costly. After ordering from Cafe Frida several times, I would say it's an overall reliable (but pricey) option for Mexican food.

As always, Cafe Friday is outstanding. We dine there regularly, and the delivery was just as good as being seated at the restaurant itself. In fact, I think they've got a new chef as our meal was outstanding, even better than usual. As I like to say, Cafe Frida is not the usual "Mexican food", it's fine-dining "Mexican cuisine".

Cafe Frida is great! It's real Mexican food (not TexMex) and the guacamole is AMAZING! I also highly recommend the molotes de flor y queso de cabra if you're interested in trying something new.

I am not really sure what all the rave is about this place. I had the china poblano salad and soup. The soup was fine (albeit small portion) but the salad was abysmal. I ordered a large and there were only a few pieces of lettuce and huge chunks of inedible mealy tomato. I know it is difficult to judge the rest of the meals based on this but such terrible food should not even be an option.

Ordered the beef (carbon) tacos: very average. Not particularly good cuts of beef, mediocre taste and packaged badly. One good point: it arrived quickly.

Arrived promptly. Tasty but a little overpriced considering the size of the enchiladas and the fact that there was no salad garnish or anything. Literally just chicken in tortillas with sauce, that's it. Amazing Guacamole!
