Cafe Ollin

Excellent tacos! I'm from Chicago and while we're no L.A. when it comes to Mexican food, we still know how to do Mexican food right. Since moving to NYC, I've yet to find a place I'd order from more than once. Cafe Ollin is the one now. I started small with Tacos. The Bistec regular tacos with just cilantro and onion (the way it should be done) were great, and the Taco Con Todo was exactly what I wanted. Delivery was on time, and nothing was a mess (like most places I've ordered from). Salsa Verde is awesome, and the crema was perfect. My new favorite Mexican spot to order from.

great food! i'm from CA and am usually underwhelmed in nyc, but not this place! everything has been good so far and delivery is prompt. biggest disappointment was when they forgot the crema once. absolutely thrilled to have found cafe ollin in my neighborhood!

I am half Mexican. I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I have NO IDEA why people rate this restaurant so highly. Its NOT that good compared to several of the Mexican places in the northern half of the UES or East Harlem. I have tried a few things here a few times and JUST don't get the high ratings. The food is not good and it takes way to long to get to you.

Food is good but they don't ever look at instructions you write and give you no/minimal salsa. If you were in the restaurant they would give it to you no problem. I find it annoying that delivery always gets the ass end.

I'd love to rate the food, but I never got to eat it (because it was never delivered to me). I ordered on a Sunday afternoon and waited patiently for an hour before calling. When I called, I was informed that the delivery man left 5 minutes ago and I should have my food in 5 minutes. Another hour goes by, I still have no food. I called the restaurant back and they told me that the food was "delivered and signed for." I told them that wasn't true, otherwise I wouldn't be calling them. After some back and forth, telling them that they delivered to the wrong address, and that they better send more food or figure out how to refund the order, the man I was speaking to told me "I don't know what to tell you." Wrong answer, man. As such, I found the customer service to teeter on the edge of atrocious and horrible. They didn't offer to refund the food or deliver more. Instead, it seemed like they thought I was lying -- and that I wanted free food. I ended up having to call Seamless to get the charge taken off my account, and they did it swiftly. I'll never order from this place again, a decision made based on my terrible experience with their customer service.

Not giving five stars only because my steak and beef enchiladas were a little soggy. On the other hand, my gf's tacos were ridiculously tasty. I would recommend just ordering tacos from here.

Terrible service after 9pm. Even though we ordered before the cutoff, they did not deliver. When I called them they said they couldn't keep up with orders and they did try to contact me "So..." as the lady mentioned. They should take themselves out of seamlessweb for orders when that they stop delivering. Really looking forward to it. BUt alas, this was unforgivable... "So...."

Some of the best Mexican in the area bar none. As good as (if not better than) El Paso and a much better value. They don't dumb the spiciness on anything down and every dish comes with a large amount of toppings and flavors. Delivery is very quick and efficient.

This place has fabulous authentic mexican food, cheap and delicious! The cemitas are amazing- the biggest sandwich you will ever see, for $8 it's easily 2 meals. The nachos with oaxacan cheese are also delicious. We have also had the enchiladas and burrito, which were good but not as outstanding for me. Will be ordering from here again and again to try the rest of the menu.

Amazing food, not one of the many dishes we ordered was a disappointment. We particularly enjoyed the cemitas and tortas, and the enchiladas were awesome! Delivery was slightly on the slow side, but given the weather, this was understandable. Really top-notch!
