I'm usually incredibly pleased from this place, but tonight's order for the falafel wrap fell short of my expectations from this place. Firstly, the falafel wasn't properly assembled and was severely overcooked and was nothing, but a greasy crunch. It was as though it had fell apart in the fryer, because they forgot or weren't paying attention and just scooped up all of the crumbs leftover and threw them in the wrap. Secondly, there wasn't any tahini or hummus! And what stole the disastrous, greasy, crunch show was the overwhelming amount of red onions. Literally, bathed the wrap in them as in a futile attempt to cover up the burnt excuse for a falafel. The three bites I should've never had, left me with a stomach ache and a poor experience with this place tonight. My suggestion to anyone craving falafel, don't order from Canteen! My boyfriend and I order from here 2-3 times a week, and I almost always order the Brie wrap because it's consistently wonderful and has definitely become my favorite item here. Just last night, I was so delighted when I bit into the jalapeño burger as a veggie patty and am always happy with their soups and bagels. Canteen is usually satisfying for me, but tonight I learned to NEVER order the "falafel" wrap.

Delicious food and the staff couldn't be friendlier. I've never had an issue with cold/late orders. Canteen is always a treat.

I love this place. The people in there are always super nice, and I've never had a bad order. He is constantly trying to do new things and experiment with options. He is willing to carry a lot of different products by the cash register. My favorite is the "Dieter's Wrap" with spinach, goat cheese and egg whites. Add some salsa and you're golden! I've never ordered delivery and usually only do pick up and sit in and eat, so I cannot say how that is.

food is so-so, but the real problem is that the delivery is completely unreliable. i waited almost 2 hours for a sunday breakfast delivery. when i tried to call after about an hour and 15 minutes, it took me ten minutes and three tries just to get them to pick up the phone. when they did pick up, the guy told me he was just waiting on their ONE delivery guy to return to the restaurant to pick up my food that was being kept warm under a heat lamp. yuck. then he promised to call the delivery guy and get an eta for me- which he never did. when i called back ten minutes later, i was told the delivery was on its way. we'll see...

This place is horrible. I waited for my food for over an hour, then I called and was told that it wasn't even on the way yet because their delivery boy doesn't show up for work until 11am. They didn't worry themselves with calling me to tell me that, they were just happy to have me wait indefinitely for my food. They didn't even apologize or see the problem with this. What a sham.

I want to like this place because it is the only one of its kind that delivers to us. I have had a couple good experiences that led me to keep trying.... Unfortunately, this place has only disappointed us the last few times and we have vowed to swear them off. Food is highly inconsistent. Some things are downright gross (eg: tomato cheddar soup, what they call "sliders", and any burger). The delivery time is atrocious and the already bad food arrives cold and nearly inedible (except by those who have been driven to starvation by waiting for 2 hours for delivery). We will not be ordering again.

I used to like this place until the re-occurring cranky delivery person showed his true colors. I believe in tipping but not if you have a bad attitude. The burgers are good but they do take a long time.

not a superb experience. order took forever to get here then delivery guy wanted me to come downstairs. smoothie had sugar in it... who puts sugar in smoothies? salad... beets were overboiled and pale, lettuce could have been fresher. i really wanted to like this order, and this place, but it just failed.

Food is pretty good but they never deliver within the 45 - 60 minute timeframe that they promise. Ever. So if you're really hungry, I'd order from some place more reliable.

The food is great but - FOR THE LOVE OF GOD - they have the slowest delivery of all time. I like about 10 blocks away and it took 2 hours for me to get a sandwich. I called three times and the lady just kept telling me, "It's on it's way. 5 minutes."

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews, but I eat here probably 5-7x a week between breakfast and dinner sometimes ordering off seamless, sometimes walking in. Their food is among the best I've ever had from a deli in NYC and it's all really cheap. Try the Outrageous LA on a wrap.

What can I say that other's haven't already? It's been over an hour since I ordered. I called and was informed that the drive had a flat tire and something about my order going out in 2 minutes (I couldn't understand, the guy was mumbling). I can't wait to get my cold soup....

Unbelievably dissapointing. The only thing they got right on my order was two eggs on a bagel, but the bagel had a plastic aftertaste and although it was "everything," it was essentially plain. The entire rest of my order was incorrect. The even added a few pastries as if maybe I wouldn't complain for my wrong order, and they tasted terrible. Oh, and it took an hour and a half. Absolutely ridiculous.
