Cascabel Taqueria (Broadway)

Wow, just had a pretty bad experience with Cascabel. Order took over an hour as opposed to the half hour they said. Ordered the Carne a la Plancha Grande Plato....there was absolutely nothing Grande about this plate of food. The beans were non existent and the steak was beyond rare and cold. When I called to let them know they said they could replace it but it would take another hour. Way to go Cascabel, excellent customer service....just lost a customer.

I'm a huge fan of Cascabel's offerings. Like most places, you need to know what to order. Personally, I'm a huge fan of their carne asada and fish tacos. Their elote asado is an awesome side and their quinoa & frijoles is a nice change from the standard rice and beans. Their guac is strong too. Keep an eye out for their daily specials too. I'm a fan.

I was curious so I ordered. It's okay. The food was pretty good, but the selection is poor and the tacos have to be ordered two of the same at a time. They're also kind of expensive. Taqueria y Fonda la Mexicana (on Amsterdam between 107 & 108) is way better in terms of selection, quality and pricing. I'm going to pass on Cacabel.

How are these guys maintaining 4 out of 5 stars? We have ordered from them 3 times on seamless. Each time was 1.5 to 2 hours delivery time. I am sitting here starving after 2 hours and still waiting for my food...I called them and "its on its way". Yea right. The food is stupidly expensive for what it is. Three strikes and they are out. These guys are NOT GETTING ANY MORE OF MY BUSINESS.

Yup - I'm done. Confirmation email said 30-45 and delivery took just under two hours. That's three times in a row. Phone girl was "too busy to check" when it would be here when I called at the 90 minute mark. Horrible customer service. Leaving my old review below. The carne asada tacos are amazing. The gorditas are pretty good. But the carne asada - It's the only reason I still order from here. Delivery sucks, especially at lunch. Waited an hour and a half on their estimated half hour for ice cold food that had spilled all over the bag. Tiny portions too. Not a great value.

Ordered the shrimp tacos. It was over priced and the shrimps were tiny. For the price I was paying I thought I was going to get authentic decent sized tacos. WRONG!

Good but very expensive. Very and I mean very little for what u pay for. You would have to be in the 1% to order from here on a regular.

the food tastes ok but is shamefully overpriced for what you get. i did not receive everything i ordered and for which i had had to pay extra (e.g., cheese). i didn't even receive the ridiculously expensive dessert i ordered. overall, it was an awful food ordering experience. never again.

Have ordered from here a few times now and usually great food, but this time was a Bad experience! I've had the chicken and pork tacos and were very good, this time I went for the fish tacos and they were either the worst I've had because of the way they prepare it or the fish was just Very Bad to old today! (I can still smell it from my trash) I would call and voice a complaint, but I already had to call as they forgot the tostadas that come with the guacamole. The guacamole, usually very good as well, was mostly brown this time and didn't have the same fresh taste. Maybe it was just a bad day or bad time that I ordered, but I might have to stay away for a bit now as this just was a very bad experience and I didn't get more than one bite of the tacos!!

Delivery came within the estimated time. Tacos were hot and fresh, but it seemed like the guacamole had been sitting around for awhile. The churros were yummy!

Way overpriced. The churros were embarrassingly small. Also, the "quesadilla" is NOT a quesadilla. More like an empanada with cold cheese inside. The Carne Asada tacos were ok, but I didn't see or taste a lot of the ingredients it was supposed to have. Never again.
