Cascabel Taqueria

There are so many Mexican restaurants in my neighborhood but this one is the best! It's also the best value! I must say I have tried them all but nothing beats Cascabel Taqueria! I wish they were open later!

I have ordered from Cascabel a number of times. Each time the delivery is on time and only once have they omitted an item from my order, which was promptly delivered after I called the restaurant. The food has been consistent and tasty. The taco flight on Monday nights is a great deal and is a generous portion. It is a great way to taste the different taco offerings. The steak remains my favorite. I also really enjoy the sopa de tortilla. I definately recommend ordering the little sides of tomatillo and roasted tomato salsa if they are available as an addition to your menu item. I have also enjoyed the guac. I have ordered medium which did not offer much additional heat. I ordered hot and I could see the chilis on the top. The heat was great! I will say that I am disappointed by a couple of things. There does not seem to be a way to order chips and salsa which would be lovely to compliment the meal. I also would encourage everyone to reconsider ordering the churros. They are tasty but it is a rude awakening to get three small (half an inch long each maybe if that) nuggets of churro. They should be embarrased to send a desert like that. Even though they are only $1, they are not worth five cents. Really bizarrely small serving. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant and would avoid the churros.

Cascabel is my go to UES mexican spot. I love the guac, tacos, corn and beans! If you go there you must try the margaitas.

Guacamole better than dos caminos, easily. really great food. when ordering mexican food NY'ers usually have to choose from the super cheap (kind of gross) $1 taco places like happy taco, taco city, taco taco, taco today...you get it, or the overpriced mexican "fusion" places ( usually underwhelming; and fall apart in the delivery process) CASCABEL is a great alternative. They have the usual fare, but also many inventive and authentic dishes, all priced appropriately.

TWICE in the last two weeks I have attempted to place orders with Cascabel through Seamless and TWICE the restaurant cancelled my order - both times with no explanation. Why is this restaurant listed on Seamless if they refuse to deliver orders?

Food is tasty and has a homemade quality about it. Delivery time is good, considering everything seems to be made fresh/homemade. But it is VERT overpriced and the portions are VERY small. Menu on seamless is much smaller than when you dine in.

Food is always good, but overpriced. Delivery is ALWAYS delayed. Keep hoping they'll take less than an hour but ready to give up on them.

BEST fish tacos on the UES. And the Guacamole is THE best in the city --- phenomenal. Super F A S T and friendly delivery: 5 stars hands down.

The corn, chorizo and tacos are definitely the best in the area. Delivery was fast, and I got amazing help from the manager Sherry when I called for help on the menu.

Food was hot and delicious. An entree is large enough for 2 people but ask for extra corn tortillas. Appetizers are pricey for the portion. Delivery guy prefers a cash tip (as opposed to including it in your seamless payment).

We ordered fish tacos, and they were messy, the fish looked like old chicken and overall it didn't taste good. It was dry and very salty, especially the olives and palms of tree. I don't recommend this dish at all! M.

Ordered four times from here. First time food delicious, but continued to go down hill. Last order arrived cold and missing some of the order. Was promised it would be right out, but took 1/2 hour. Will not order again

The BEST guacamole, although the price is outrageous, I still buy it several times per week. I like the tacos, the good is good and simple, but wish they would switch up the menu a little more, because I'm getting bored.
