One of our "go to" (and I mean at least once a week and usually more) lunch places. Not sure if it's cause we're regulars or cause we're close but they are always faster to deliver than the stated time. The omelettes good. The tater tots are like crack. The little known "side of bacon" is always worth it. They do a lot of their stuff in the old school deli classic kind of way that we like. Not a lot of fancy foodie stuff going on (which is a good thing when you just want a ham sandwich-- get the horseradish sauce on it) One negative we would say is pass on the green salads and stick with the sandwiches and breakfast. Just got the patty melt which rocked and instigated this review as i went in to give it the thumbs up.

food has always been fresh and i have never been disappointed from ordering here the many times i have. One of the better delis in downtown manhattan when it comes to food quality and value. Can't find a more fresh boards head sandwhich for these prices anywhere else.

no chips no pickle and my sandwich was brought to me in a rather beatup looking bag. most places provide a small bag or chips and a pickle with the sandwich. on a good note... the bacon and chicken salad sandwich was good... just very small when compared to other delis in the area.

I normally don't have a problem with Champs but today I ordered a patty melt sandwich and received what is basically either a regular cheeseburger on bread or a glorifed grilled cheese with a hamburger (this was their explanation). In my world and in most of the culinary world a patty melt consists of Rye bread, carmelized onions, cheese and a hamburger patty. They're charging $7 bucks for something that is definitely not a patty melt. I spoke with the manager who said that he's been making patty melts for 25 years and this is how they're made. Go figure.

This place does not actually have most of the items on their menu (including bagels!), so be prepared for a disappointing phone call after you order. Worse of all, they still confirm the order (and charge you), knowing they they don't have the food in stock. I have tried ordering multiple times over the course of 3 years, and every time it results in having to go through the hassle of getting a refund from Seamless. Buyer beware!

Chipotle Salad was HUGE and delicious. Fruit smooth was very tasty. Fast Delivery. Only complaint was that the Banana Bread was dry.

I ordered a small make-your-own spinach salad with chinese noodles, fresh mozzarella, broccoli, avocado, and Russian dressing. The application of dressing was very generous, which I liked, but I prefer spinach salads made with baby spinach - these were huge coarse leaves, which could also have been more finely chopped. And for an $1.00 each, they could have been more generous with the avocado and the mozzarella. Overall an okay choice, but not great. I picked it up myself and it was ready in a flash.
