China 59

I was extremely disappointed with the lunch I ordered today (October 25, 2012). I could not even eat but a few bites. I ordered the Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura Lunch Special. It was horrible! The shrimp was not deveined and it was soft and mushy instead of being crispy and crunchy. The vegetables were disgusting - a piece of broccoli, a piece of sweet potato (I think) which was the worst - small part was soft and the rest was hard so that I couldn't even cut into it, a piece of onion and a piece of cucumber. It's been a long time since I have ordered or visited China 59 - today has confirmed that I will NEVER order from them again.

Good: The food was edible and delivery was speedy. Not so good: I ordered a Hot & Sour Soup which was... thin. Almost nothing in it. Meh. I also had a Beef Nekimaki appetizer, which was great. No complaints here. My biggest 'beef' (pun intended) was with my main entree, Thai Basil Chicken. There was really nothing Thai about it. It was a typical Chinese dish with chicken, peppers, vegetables and brown sauce. Very disappointing. I guess I should've known better not to order Thai food from the Chinese restaurant, and I certainly won't order Sushi from them either. I guess it's OK if you want Chinese food and stick to their chinese menu section.

First time ever I had pork fried rice that was bland. But the eggroll was one of the best I've ever had. Boneless ribs were good too. Solid Chinese food and delivery was superfast!

I am really funny about food but I took a chance and ordered it anyway. Boneless pork is amazing! I have found the most delicious egg roll as well. Anytime I want Chinese food at work, I know I can call on Hana!!!

Do not order form this place. The sesame chicken is not fired it is sautéed. I ordered sesame chicken and chicken with broccoli and they both taste the same and have a rubbery consistency. the friend race tastes like nothing. I called to let them know and they could care less. This is hands down the word chinese food i have ever had.

The crispy duck was very good, and delivery was prompt; however, the Tom Yum soup was not at all spicy (as it should be) and the 'dry-sauteed' green beans were mushy by the time they made it to my door. The food was decent, but probably not worth $22.

I love Singapore Mai Fun. I've ordered it all over the city and have never been disappointed. Until today. Never in my life have I ordered something that smelled so good and didn't taste like ANYTHING. The chicken was bland, the noodles were bland, the egg was bland. It's curry. How the heck could it possibly be bland? Never order this item from here if you have taste buds.

Super fast delivery!! Food was really good (sweet & sour chicken that CAME with an eggroll and pork fried rice). Good price, and a filling portion compared to the competition nearby. Will order again :)
