No idea why this place got a decent rating. I ordered a chicken and brocolli combination plate. Chicken was slimy and under cooked, sauce was watered down yet salty and the portion was small. I don't know how they justify their prices for this low quality food. I will stick to Au Mandarin for good chinese (for the area) and large portions. Never ordering China Chalet again.

If you are in the mood for dim sum and don't want to take the walk to Chinatown, then I recommend China Chalet. Definitely not the best, and very expensive compared to Chinatown, but it satisfies the craving quite well on a lazy rainy day.

For the Financial District, pretty good Chinese food. Not as good as you can get in the Manhattan, Brooklyn or Queens Chinatowns, but better than you can get in most neighborhoods in NYC or the suburbs.

This is one of those restaurants where you're like "just exactly what part of a normal chicken did this type of "meat" come from??" Unappetizing quality, below average Chinese restaurant standards. They even skimped on the little things (e.g. no chopsticks, no napkins). Delivery was fast, and I have no axe to grind. Just a sub-par food quality experience that left me not wanting to finish my meal.

The order came very quickly (within 25 minutes!) and everything was perfectly packed with no spillage. The chow fun was excellent, not greasy, and the diced chicken with hot pepper was Perfectly seasoned

Delivery was quick (~20 minutes) Packaging was very neat. Portions were deceptively ample. Ordered chicken combination platter & dumplings. Everything was very good.

Fast Delivery - last 4x I ordered, food came between 15-20 mins Great Food - Dumplings are super addicting; Wonton Soup good; Fried Rice good (huge serving!) Always fast and always great!

The Egg Foo Young, while yummy, is a bit expensive for coming with only a tiny thimble-sized container of rice. Delivery is usually fast, though.

ordered the chicken and broccoli and it was unedible. exteremyl rubbery chicken that tasted like fake meat. broccoli was moldy and soggy. given the prices they charge, it was completely unacceptable.
