Cinema Brasserie

I used to order from these guys a lot, but they've really gone down hill. 30-45 min wait time gets extended to 45 - 60 mins after I submit my order. Ok, stuff happens... I can deal with that. 80 minutes later, I call up and then get told by this woman that the delivery guy left 15 minutes ago and will be there soon (he should be, it's only 5 blocks away). I could handle that - usually. But she talks to me with utter contempt - like I'm an impatient imbecile and then hangs up on me! The friggin attitude... Why would you put someone like that on the phone??? Anyway, 15 minutes later (i.e. over 1.5 hours), it arrives. Dead cold. It's 65 degrees outside and my dinner feels like it's come out of a meat locker. The sliders are like eating hockey pucks, just with less taste, and the pizza is soggy and cold - not a good combination for anything. Needless to say, I bid you adieu Cinema Brasserie.

High quality meat, and excellent tasting food. I have nothing but praises for Cinema Brasserie. I can't wait for the summer since I crave their Gazpacho. Also, their steak salad, french fries, and tuna tacos are highly recommended. I order at least once a week from this place, and I'd say the delivery time is totally acceptable.

The fries were awesome, pizza was good. I ended up eating it cold having eaten the fries for lunch. But if a pizza is good cold, that's always a good sign. Got the Cinema Tart Flambe, couldn't taste the truffle oil, that was a bit of a let down (massive sucker for truffle oil), but bacon and gorgonzola were great and the truffle aioli for the Belgium fries was pretty awesome as well. Did delivery, so can't speak on the atmosphere or the service, but the pizza came within the time quoted on Seamless, everything was nice a hot, which is definitely appreciated. Fries were packaged so that the steam was contained, I assume that holds in the heat well, but it also made them a bit soggy till they aired out. Is what it is (just something I keep in mind when ordering things like that).

Poor customer service. Beware of what you order from Cinema, as what is listed on the website does not actually represent what you will receive. And when you call to try and get what you believed you would be receiving, the workers blame it on seamless and don't offer to compensate you or provide you with what's listed. Other places have been more willing to accomodate these errors but Cinema will not budge.

We ordered three items (salad/sandwiches) at 11:20 AM and were told the wait was 30-45 minutes. The food arrived an hour and a half later (and the food was being delivered three blocks from the restaurant). When I called the restaurant to ask where the food was, the person that answered the phone was very rude and just said it was on the way but had no idea when it would arrive. If you're going to order from here don't trust the delivery estimate given.

I have never been more disappointed in a meal. I ordered the "Truffle" mac and cheese, but there wasn't even a hint of "truffle" flavor in the dish. Not to mention the panko breadcrumbs were just tossed on top - uncooked, unseasoned and soggy. I would have been better off with Mac & Cheese out of a box.

Have ordered from this place a few times over the last couple of weeks and I must have gotten lucky the first time because the last two times were not good. The chef needs to learn how to make Risotto the proper way, this was like boiled rice with raw mushrooms and peas thrown in. The mushroom ravioli was absolute garbage and had nothing resembling a sauce of any kind on it. Never ordering from here again.

I've never really been inclined to write a review before, but this place was just NOT good. I ordered a margharita pizza, and when it came, the pizza had folded over onto itself, and a couple slices were stuck to the top of the box. Obviously it had not been laid flat. Also, the pizza itself was just disappointing. The ingredients tasted cheap, and it was just not satisfying.

Food was alright, but because the delivery guy had no ID and wasn't allowed up by bldg security I won't be ordering again. Not worth the hassle for food I can get elsewhere.
