Colador Cafe

Ok. So the food is incredibly tasty. However, Colador Cafe is CONSISTENTLY late when delivering my food. Consistently. When I order my food and I am told it will arrive in 30-45 minutes, I expect it to arrive in 3-0-45 minutes, not 65, 75 or 90. It is unacceptable. My husband and I just welcomed a new child into the world (read no sleep and no desire to cook) and give Colador Cafe at least $100/week between meals and tips. We don't want to send our business elsewhere, but will need to if things don't change.

If you live in Bed-Stuy, this is easily the best option for solid, consistent food. Not a lot of options in this area -- half the places on here you'd probably never really want to go inside of and dine in -- but Colador Cafe takes the cake. Really delicious, fresh salads, good sandwiches, decently priced, and always on time with delivery. Order from here at least once a week and never have had any problems.

I ordered the steak sandwich and a green salad my food arrived in 30 minutes. the steak sandwich was hot tasty and succulent. My fries were hot and crispy the salad was really good too i will definitely be ordering from Colador Cafe again.

This review makes me sad, honestly. First off, I really like the food at Colador, especially the empanadas and burgers. But their delivery service is consistently terrible. Your 45-60min wait will actually be anywhere from 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours. I really like the food here, but with ridiculous wait times the food arrives cold and they handle customers and orders over the phone really poorly and unorganized. I doubt I'll be getting delivery from here ever again.

Look I've played this hour + wait game from Colador, food is fine. But even planning for the actual 1hr 20 was far too much to expect. 2 hrs after 2 phone calls promising food shortly, no. Lost my business hire more staff. Mid day of the week not peak ordering time. If you can't handle this what are you in food service for.

Know what to expect going in: -Long delivery times (routinely twice the estimated) -Cold food -Relatively healthy selection for relatively cheap Basically think of delivery from Colador as the place your friends went to and brought back a meal for leftovers. It takes forever and it's cold. But given the fries are sorta good even cold (curly fry spices on battered straight fries) you KNOW they would be excellent hot. Maybe it's best just to bring your laptop over and get some work done at the cafe, ensuring your food will be fresh.

I was excited to order from Colador because I heard that their food was good. Big disappointment. I ordered an omelet with chicken chipotle. The eggs were brown and dry, the chicken was dry,I had to cover it in salsa just to make it edible. Next time i'll take the time to make my own omelet and save the money.

I took a chance on their beef burger for the first time in June and have been consistently ordering it ever since! It's a very hearty portion (can be shared for two lighter eaters) of high quality beef on an amazing buttered/oiled bun. However once I ordered it with greens and the steam from the burger destroyed the greens before it got to my house, so alas I'll stick with the tasty fries! Even when I venture to order something different like the Cubano sandwich or the Bobby Steak, which are both very very big portions as well, I find myself wishing I had more room for their beef burger, fries and a bottled Coke from Colador :) All in all, a great quality find to deliver in the Stuy.

I ordered the veggie burger (which comes with french fries). It arrived fresh and promptly from a very friendly delivery guy. The person I spoke to over the phone (to confirm details about my order) was also very sweet. The veggie burger is essentially a mash of three vegetables: onions, spinach, and broccoli (the third ingredient is normally mixed peppers, but I replaced it with broccoli) on a brioche bun. It was delicious. I'm usually more partial to bean or lentil based veggie burgers so I was very pleasantly surprised. The fries were skinny and McDonalds-like (with a lot less grease and salt) and complemented the burger well. I'll definitely order from Colador again.

Colador is a great go-to for standard sandwiches, salads, burgers, etc. It's a nice place to sit and work while eating lunch, too.

i order because the food is good but the wait time is insane and i live only a 1/2 block away. im writing this review as i am still waiting for my food. i ordered at 730pm; its 9pm now and still no food!!!

Delivery took forever to come less than 6 blocks. Staff was rude when I called to ask about it. When it finally did arrive it was kind of cold and soggy and unappetizing. I've had a good meal sitting in the restaurant, but probably wouldn't order delivery from here again.

Love this place ... The burgers are good, the Caesar salad is really good . Happy to get homemade dressing .. It is actually better then expected, especially for he price .The delivery is usual within the time bracket .
