Crave Astoria

Wow, sorry to hear that some had bad experiences. We order from Crave at least once a week or so, and have been pleased. The later in the night I order, I understand that they take longer, but have never taken more than about 40 minutes, and I'm talking around 1 AM. Food has always been good and have not had any problems with our regular items. I love that they have very late hours!

I love the food at Crave. It's always yummy. But EVERY TIME I order from them, they mess it up. In the resturant there aren't any problems, but delivery (Seamless and over the phone) is a hot mess. Once the soup was crushed and spilled all over the other food. Two other times we've paid for extra sauce and never got it. I even called and told them about it to get it for our next order and guess what, they forgot that order as well!

I've ordered from them tons of times and find it to be wildly inconsistent. The Greek bowl is delicious when they get it right, but its a crap shoot. I came home late last night after beers with friends and no dinner, so I decided to order a burger from Crave. It came 45 minutes later, cold, way over cooked and with bleu cheese dressing instead of actual bleu cheese on the burger. It was gross, and had I been at the restaurant and not on my couch, I would've sent it back without a second thought.

I don't usually write negative reviews ("if you don't have anything nice to say..."), but I'm compelled to be forthcoming after reading about similar experiences from other users. Long story short: they delivered to the wrong address. When I spoke to them on the phone, the guy actually argued with me about how such-and-such was listed as my address (even though the correct address is on the confirmation, and I have absolutely no association to the other address). He said, "WE have a different address." Great. Still, it's not where I ordered the food to be delivered. Sitting here twiddling my thumbs still waiting for my (cold) food. Glad to know there are far more options in Astoria these days. Too bad, though. Crave used to be such a pleasant place.

AMAZEBALLLLS! I have ordered form alot of places on seamless in an Astoria and Crave has been the only one to get in A+ everytime.. The food is always still hot and delicious. The service is fast and great! Their Avgolemono Soup is to die for hey have a huge selection to meet anyone taste! Deff order from them!

We order from crave quite frequently but i have never ordered from a place so inconsistent. Twice the chicken souvlaki was raw in the middle, one time unedible and RED in the middle. I called but was put on hold for over 10 minutes to get an "excuse me, it wont happen again" reply. Two weeks after, same thing. My husband usually orders the greek bowl. The amount that comes in that plate is always unpredictable. Sometimes its enough for 2 to share and other times, my husband is left hungry. Not a bad place but it needs a little improving.

Great for late night delivery, the food is always hot and fresh! It's the closest thing to mid-western soul food that astoria has to offer. I always get their cordon bleu with chicken, it's amazing!

I have been a ling time customer of Crave. I love Crave's food and the fact that they are open really late. However the other night I waited over an hour and a half for my food. When I called to find out where my order was, I was told that my food was delivered to me and there was nothing they were going to do about it. In the end the food is good, but the service is terrible.

I ordered food from Crave tonight. I ordered over an hour and a half ago and still have not received my food. I called to check on it and was told they were busy and to give them more time. After that I was disconnected from. I normally understand that things happen but she was not even willing to look up my order or apologize for the late food. I am extremely upset at the service that I have received on this trip to Crave.

This is the first restaurant review I have ever written, but my experience with Crave has motivated me to post something. The manager of this location is the rudest person I've ever encountered in the world of food service. After Crave delivered the wrong order, the manager called me and held me personally responsible for taking the wrong food. How was I supposed to know that the food was not my order, when the delivery person said that the food was the same? The manager called me and berated me for taking the wrong order, only to hang up the phone when I was trying to speak with him. If this manager stays, I will never order from this place again. I've never had such a bad experience. Sad too - I actually like the food here.

Pricey for sure but this place is like a gourmet greasy spoon. I always order when i'm craving (no pun intended) fried. Not anything in particular, just fried whatever. I'm never disappointed, be it cheese, calamari, fish, dough, or you name it. Ironically I'm not a huge fan of their fries (or chips as they call them) but I never crave french fries independently of other food and the sauces are great so I can deal, or i just get the onion rings. Everything is always fresh and tasty. Buns are soft, dessert is delish and portions are ample. Delivery is fast, friendly and accurate (and I always order super late). I lived down the block from Crave when they first opened and I'm sure glad they deliver all the way to my new place.

We had ordered from Crave about a half a dozen times over the past month alone which equates to six flounder sandwiches for myself as a new found guilty pleasure. They have been tasty enough to re order although tonight I got the same order with a sandwich that consisted of ALL bun for the most part (about half of the fish usually served) Called the manager and his take was that I must have not realized there was more than what I thought!...seriously?! lol Needless to say, we will not be ordering from this place again!

The crave bowls are consistently soggy and disappointing, but the falafel is great. Sometimes get the order wrong, but are willing to send a replacement.
