Crisp (40th st)

delivery took almost 2 hours; we are right around the block. food was cold, soggy, and wrong condiments were delivered. very disappointing.

I order from Crisp pretty often and it's consistantly fresh and tastly. I have been to this location and it seems clean and staff is friendly. I just wish very spicy items would be indicated on the menu... I ordered the Baja Hummus and Salad bowl and did not expect the huge jalapeno slices!

It kinda goes without saying that Crisp is my go-to falafel place. I think they put crack in their falafel balls. I LOVE that they do hummus bowls with fresh falafel and greens so you don't have to get your hands really dirty. I love that they don't pour tzitziki sauce on like its going out of style. And the best part - the freshness and quality really cannot be beat. The delivery is usually around 30 minutes or less, but I'm only five blocks away. I've never had a problem.

SO BAD. After an hour of waiting for our delivery, I called to find out what was up and was told that they don't deliver. Seeing as my card was already charged, I called another location only to be told that my order already went out. An hour and a half after ordering, we got a cold, soggy, pretty terrible meal.

I was a bit concerned originally based on the only review of this location. I have heard from other people that Crisp is quite good so I was worried about the review. However, I am happy to report that the delivery time was not unreasonable at all. It was well within the standard estimate that was set. They have seemed to have fixed the delivery issue from a year ago. I had the Athenian sandwich with feta and a side of babaganouch. Ingredients were fresh and falafel was definitely crispy with good seasoning. It makes me wish that I could make my own Handbag sandwich, not just a salad.

An hour and a half after I placed my order, I called Crisp to cancel it. They refused to refund my credit card because "the order is on its way." Nearly two hours after I placed my order, it arrived - a disgusting soaked-through bag that was literally dripping. I refused to accept it and I thought the delivery guy was going to physically make me take the bag. I will never order from Crisp again.
