Dafni Greek Taverna

I have been looking for a real Gyro sandwich all over New York, and the only ones I like are the ones at the street fairs. I went to Uncle Nicks Greek restaurant and it was nothing compared to Dafni Greek Taverna! Their delivery is fast and the food is amazing. The Gyro lamb sandwich is so yummy I order them all the time. They give you a lot of meat in the sandwich so be very hungry! Someone complained about that, and I think they are crazy. They give you a lot of value. I have sampled just about everything on the menu now, and have never ever been disappointed. Delivery personnel are nice, and the whole experience makes me order 3-4 times a week!

Everything was tasty (Pikilia with roasted potatoes, Gyro sandwich and Greek fries) and delivery was fast. No complaints, will definitely be ordering from Dafni again. Updated: My wife ordered the souvalki and it was unfortunately so greasy and oily that she found it inedible and had to throw it all away.

I was desperately craving tzatziki and Dafni's is delicious. Got the chicken souvlaki pita with tzatziki and would definitely recommend. Only complaint is that tomatoes could have been cut a little more.

Got a piece of plastic in my food. Dafni used to be one of my favorite places, but for the last 6 months, I have hardly ordered. When I do, there's almost always something wrong! :(

Great greek food at a reasonable price; their avgolemono soup is great, and you should try their islanders salad; different and delicious. they spicy feta cheese spread (tirokafteri) is excellent. quick delivery time as well

This is the best Greek food I've ever had, the Gyro is fantastic, the Greek salad is amazing - a perfect light lunch. I've been to the restaurant for dinner and ordered many of the appetizers, all of the spreads and spanikopita, dolmades, etc. are wonderful it was very hard not to fill up on appetizers alone. I would bet anything on the menu is very good, but if you're starting out - definitely go for the Gyro, for a great Seamless web lunch order.

Solid good Greek food. The best items are the Greek soup (the one with the lemon and egg base) and the appetizers (e.g. the one with the zucchinni and tzatiki).

I dream about this place...Excellent food! The best greek i have had in the city. It even has plentiy of delicious vegetarian options. I have eaten in the restaurant and have got it delivered. Food comes hot (we are close by) and is received promptly. While i ate in, the waitress was very nice and made excellent recommendations. You really can't go wrong here.

My wife is Greek, and we always look forward to travelling to Greece as we love Greek food. Dafni is reasonably priced, but the food was average at best. Calamari were small and dry, keftedakia (meatballs) were smothered in an overpowering red sauce, and had an odd taste that you don't normally associate with keftedes. The kolokithakia had a sharp, bitter aftertaste. Nothing tasted fresh, or traditionally "greek".
