Dallas BBQ (42nd St.)

Horrible experience. Delivery guy kept calling me and telling me he was outside my apartment when he wasn't, and then yelled at me when I wasn't waiting at the front door of the building (which has never been an issue in all my years of ordering delivery. Then I opened my bag to find it filled with sticky BBQ sauce. Nothing in my order involved BBQ sauce, ie I had someone else's food spilled all over my food...super gross. I knew Dallas BBQ wasn't the healthiest of choices for dinner, now I have another reason to avoid ordering from them. Threw out all the food...so not worth it.

Sliced beef brisket was very tough and chewy and a bit fatty. Should have been fork tender if properly cooked. Could not even cut the meat with the plastic knife provided in the takeout. Baked potato was way overcooked too, which made it hard to dig out of the skin. I would look for another BBQ place if you're interested in BBQ

If you're absolutely jonesin' for BBQ, this place will surely scratch the itch, but the presentation left something to be desired. Ordered the ribs & fries, which came together in the same container... and (not surprisingly), french fries don't hold up very well when soaking in grease and BBQ sauce. I mean, I still ate 'em, but... hrm. Also, I'm a huge fan of onion rings, so I ordered the Onion Ring Loaf, not really realizing that I'd get a greasy mashed up pile of barely breaded, barely fried onions, slopped unceremoniously in the bottom of a cardboard container. I mean... again, I still ate it. But ... ugh.

It's "texas BBQ" in NYC, however the food is tasty and well priced, over you can't complain.

Being from Texas I was told by many people to try this place, that the food was great. Boy was I wrong. Nasty, Nasty, Nasty!!!!! If I could give zero stars I would. This place is not BBQ. It is prepackaged heated up meat. Will not being ordering again.

I was impressed!! First they said 30 to 45 minutes for delivery and it was here in 25 minutes. The food was hot fresh and very well prepared. I enjoyed the Ribs and Chicken Combo dinner. Large amount of food for a great price. One downfall, even though they were delivering to hotel they only sent on little napkin, hmmm bbq ribs. Other than that little detail, I will definately order from Dallas BBQ again.

Dependably delicious barbecue at a reasonable price. The chicken/ribs combo is heave on a plate -- as are the pulled pork sandwiches. Huge portions. Best BBQ in NYC!
