Dao Palate

I'm not a vegetarian, but I think Dao Palate is the best Chinese food delivery in the area. True, there's not a lot of quality competition around, but Dao Palate is just plain GOOD. I tend to favor their appetizers over their mains, but I've yet to have anything from them that wasn't pretty tasty. One thing that surprised me is I'm not usually a big fan of "soy protein," or any time you've got a non-meat product trying to pose as meat, but they do good work with it here. The tofu nuggets are my favorite thing I've tried, good flavor and texture.

Ordered from Dao Palate last night and am already ordering again. The food was outstanding. Tom Yum soup and pad thai were both spicy, hot, and flavorful when they arrived. My only complaint was that the food took a full hour to get here when we ordered at 830pm on a wednesday night.

I am incredibly lucky to have a place like Dao Palate so close to home. The food is fantastic! My favorite so far is the terriaki smoked seitan. Their raspberry vegan cheesecake is a great way to end. Always feel full, satisfied, and healthy after a Dao meal.

So I am a Vegan but my friends are very much meat eaters and after I found Dao Palate it only took one order to get me hooked, and two orders to make Dao Palate our go-to delivery place on busy homework nights. My favorite things are the more simple dishes, especially Hijki Salad, it'll change your opinion of seaweed for the better. I will say one negative thing, the pumpkin soup is disappointing so get the miso mushroom. Otherwise its a lot of good quick food.

The first time I used seamless web I ordered from Dao Palate. Overall the food is a good deal price wish. There are a lot of tasty vegetarian options. The King Oyster mushroom is especially good (though I want to try it fresh from the restaurant). The rest of my order was not very memorable. My boyfriend and I ordered two noodle dishes and they tasted about the same. The pineapple rice is good.

This is my favorite place to order from, and I'm not even a vegan! In fact, I typically don't skip meat at a meal unless I'm ordering from Dao Palate. The crispy soy protein with plum sauce may have a fancy Asian, vegan name, but they taste EXACTLY like chicken mcnuggets with bbq sauce, and I'm not ashamed to say that they are ALWAYS in my order. I also like the basil soy protein and orange seitan with broccoli. Although it's more expensive than your average Asian take-out, the quality of the food is in an league of its own.

Dao Palate has fast become our "go to" restaurant when we don't want to cook. The food is always fresh and delicious too. We're not vegan, or even vegetarian, but that doesn't matter. Dao Palate is a light and tasty alternative for us. I just can't go past the Vegetarian Medley Lettuce Wraps or the Scallion Pancakes. They're both amazing!

I've given up on Dao Palate; the prices are too high, the portions are too small to justify the cost and the food is mediocre. The last time I ordered, my Indian Pancake was soggy and the rest of my food was underwhelming; the only menu items that were good were the Crispy Soy Protein with Plum Sauce and the Mixed Green Salad. The only saving grace of this restaurant is that, like the V-Spot, they carry vegan desserts baked by VeganTreats, so you can purchase the amazing Peanut Butter Bomb here.

I love Dao Palate. I'm completely obsessed with the shredded vegetable mushu (sp?). There are lots of yummy mushrooms in it, even straw mushrooms! I also really love the Basil soy protein dish. I always order it with the sauce on the side because it's quite sweet, and there's usually too much of it. Oh, and the spinach wonton soup is amazing!

I have ordered from dao palate before and have not had issues however, tonight i ordered from them and had a very bad experience. i ordered the deep fried tofu w/ tempura sauce and it showed up with a layer of oil at the bottom and instead of a crispy outside, it was more like a glue-like, sticky substance that was totally inedible. i called the restaurant and, because i ordered through seamless web, they said they basically couldn't do anything about it-no apologies, no offer to re-deliver an edible item, and no offer to refund the money (because i ordered through seamless web). this is terrible customer service and i would hope that next time, they will try to remedy the situation leaving the customer with good feelings about ordering from them again.

First off, I don't like to write bashing reviews because I try to support small businesses and I understand how hard it is for these small restaurants to be successful. That said, I have ordered twice from Dao Palate, and both times I turn to my wife after the first few bites, and say "this food is just tasteless." And it really is. The food is just bland all around with no distinction of taste - so that each dish just kind of blends in to the other - and it all winds up tasting like mush. Totally unsatisfying meal. I would not recommend ordering from this restaurant if you like food.

My food was piping hot, delicious, and delivered faster than expected. And it's easy to see why the spinach wonton soup is a favorite. Yum. I'd definitely order from Dao Palate again.

Our food arrives at our door in an unbelievable speed - and we are clear across town. it is our go-to restaurant to order from when we are hungry (and lazy). The food is standard vegan fare and hasn't been a disappointment. I believe we are lucky to have Dao Palate within delivery distance!
