Terrible. Second time in two weeks. Says 20-45mins wait time. First time: 74mins. Second time: total no show. They should be put out of business. It's embarrassing!

For some reason, they've decided to downsize their lunch portion by half. Given that other Indian restaurants in Midtown make just as good food for a fraction of Dawat's price, this is the last time I'm ordering from them.

Awesome food, but kind of pricey. Be aware you have to buy rice separately, we learned that lesson the hard way.

Very simple review--the best Indian food I have tasted in the city.Well packaged and delicious upon delivery.Too expensive for delivery you say? No free rice with the meal?Well,based on my experiences,they much more than make it up to you with the generous portions(I get the equivalent of a free meal for the next day!) and extra goodie stuff.Nice people too. I love the chef's stringbean dish (forgot the Indian name),the chickpeas,the chicken tikka,the vegetable biryani etc.All is good,though.Splurge once on this restaurant and you'll see what i mean.Keep up the good work,Dawat! Super speedy delivery, and the food was delicious. It's a pity they don't supply a side of rice with the order of curry (like every other restaurant), but the taste is worth it.

Outrageous amount of food. Ordered the chefs lunch special and am embarassed by the amount of food that arrived (almost). I will be eating this for days. Got chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, daal and chana masala - in addition to soup, papadam, kheer, raita, etc. Overall am really happy. The kheer is delicious, the chicken tikka solid, and the chana was definitely a standout. I don't even like chickpeas but this was my favorite which says something. The only two disappointments were the daal which had a weird aftertaste and the paratha which was too tough and chewy. Otherwise was great and definitely a good value.
