Dolcino Trattoria Toscana

We have eaten here over the years and the owner is very nice. It used to be a great place with consistently excellent food. However, in the last few years the quality of the food has gone down. I wish the owner would read this review and fire the current chef to bring Dolcino back to its former glory.

When you get them at the right time, it can be exceptional. However, more and more my orders are mediocre and I spend up to $100 a pop on delivery from Dolcino. The last order, they forgot several items and then argued that I didn't order them when I had the receipt right in front of me. Finally, they delivered it and the delivery guy threw the food at me and said that it was on them. Again, I clearly paid for these items. In addition, the lamb chops were ATROCIOUS that fateful night. Huge, over-cooked, fatty slabs of rubber. For a $100 order, this is UNACCEPTABLE. Will never order from here again...

This is the third time I've ordered from Dolcino - the first two times were great experiences! However, this time, it took 45 minutes and the food arrived cold & the chicken parm had congealed into a lump. Being that the food is kind of pricey, I expect it at least to arrive hot - I don't mind the wait. I'll think twice before ordering here again :S

The food was really good-when you're in the mood for pasta but don't want to go out-this is the only place to order from. Delivery was fast too.

i spent $16 for veal paillard. Said it came with potatoes and vegetables. It was two skimpy pieces of veal and some side greens. I ate the veal in about 10 seconds. not even tasty. i called restaurant to ask why it did not come with sides as stated on online menu. Just said sorry and hung up. big waste of money for nothing

Solid neighborhood Italian food. I have had delivery and eaten in the restuarant. The food is simply prepared comfort italian food. The pasta is cooked to perfection with a sweet marinara and the chicken parm entree was huge with plenty of cheese and not dried out at all. Delivery was extremely quick and they provided plenty of extra bread and dressing with our meals. The chicken scarpiello was a nice dish and came piping hot. The ravioli is super rich but tastes very good if you like rich, cheesy sauces, which i do. Highly recommend if you are jonesing for solid italian takeout not made by a pizza parlor.

This food was amazing. I ordered the salmon fettucini and it was one of the best things I've had in a while. The noodles were homeade, it was not too heavy, portion size was perfect, and salmon was tender and perfect!

I ordered the seemingly easy to make spaghetti with meat sauce and garlic bread. Both were incredibly underwhelming. The garlic bread wasn't even crispy, it's as if they drizzled olive oil and garlic salt over their bread and packaged it up, and the meat sauce was tasteless, even after I added pepper flakes from my own kitchen. Why is it so difficult to find a good Italian place that delivers in this area?
