Don Giovanni Ristorante (W44th)

Was always a huge fan of DG's. But the last two times I've ordered from there have been monumental disappointments. The chicken francese was inedible (more than half of it went into the garbage), the salad we ordered was complete with a puddle of water (quite literally) at the bottom, and the calzone was ice cold. The two star rating (it should have been one) is because I remember what their food once tasted like. Two let downs of this magnitude at fifty dollars a pop are two too many for me. So long Don Giovani, it's been swell.

I can't stress how amazing the Gnocchi is at Don Giovanni. There are little pieces of eggplant amongst a perfect marinara sauce with mozzarella scattered throughout. Although I hope Don Giovanni gets a lot of foot traffic, I am so glad they are not more prominently on 9th Avenue, because I would NEVER get a table!

The pasta with meat sauce wasn't very good at all (though the portion was pretty big) and the caesar salad was mediocre too, unfortunately. Won't order again.

We've waited almost 2 hours for our order and have called 3 times -- first two times we were told that "the guy is on his way" - 3rd time that he dropped our food. They made no attempt to contact us about this "accident" or indeed apologize, and it really seemed like we were bothering them just to get some info on when our food would arrive. A waste of an evening waiting for two simple pasta dishes. DO NOT order from them!

This is my favorite pizza place in the Times Square/Theatre District. Thin Crust and fresh toppings. The delivery time here is always long but the wait is worth it.

west 44th location Just changed my ratings after 3 experiences both in and out. If you are used to fast, or even relatively fast service - skip it. Don't know whats going on these days but the service at this place is super slow and so I just decided to order out this time BAD MOVE I guess, it's been over 2 HOURS and nothing - Called Twice! And judging from other recent reviews..This is getting all too common. First time we called they said it was "on its way"..an hour later .."they don't know what happened to the order!! Short staffed? Bad Management? I dunno..but very disappointing for the past 5 months..although the quality of the food is still very good (hence the only reason I'm not giving this no rating)....there is no substitute for poor service!! - --Note: I cannot speak for the other location..

I had excellent Chicken Marsala which was a big surprise considering the mixture of good and bad reviews. A little slow on the delivery time but at least they are upfront about the estimated time.

This is the last time I'm ordering from here. The food is good, but everytime I order from here the delivery is an absolute nightmare. I wait over an hour, one time 90 minutes. Unacceptable!

Man, I ordered delivery from here on Seamless Web tonight...the site said 55-70 minutes...i called at 80 minutes to inquire about where my food was. The guy on the phone, who couldn't care less, just said that the delivery guy left not but 2 minutes ago and it should be here soon. 120 minutes later the delivery guy shows up. The pizza is ice cold. Not cool and not what I would expect from such a well reviewed place
